Prelude
Welcome back to another new post on Adapting to Modern where I look at how I crossed over from playing in Wild Battles till today on Modern Battles, sharing with the community the struggles, the strategies and things I do to move towards playing in Modern. With Rebellion Soul Bound reward cards coming live, there is an increase in the number of Rebellion Soul Bound reward cards seen on the battlefield, so as I've started to review the reward cards for this particular post series, let's continue to look at 2 more of the Soul Bound reward cards.
So far, from the Soul Bound cards that I've gathered thus far, all of them have been serving me well. You can check out my profile and look at the latest brawl report that I've shared yesterday to see them in action.
Rebellion Soul Bound Reward Cards
End of season just finished and I've accumulated some Glint and I am in the midst of contemplating
Let's continue from last week where we reviewed 1 common and 1 legendary from the water and fire splinter respectively, today we look at legendary water cards.
Endless Gibbon
First card that we will look at today is the Endless Gibbon. This is yet another 1 mana card, which will be good for filling up the lineup with something small yet bring rather decent value. This card stats look generally ok but nothing to complain for something that is of such a low mana. Reach is a decent ability but nothing great to rave about. When it levels up, not much increase in stats. Personally, I was hoping for more from this card in terms of ability but it is just only this ability and ok value for money mana cost.
Sergeant Grauzral
And now onto the next card for today. Looks like a rather decent card which is looking similar to that of a Deeplurker from the melee department. Immunity is good as one will be able to be placed in Noxious Fumes match. As it levells up, it also gains blast that will be useful due to the better speed and the opportunity, the blast will have a bigger value with strikes potentially hitting a middle card that give better value for each action. While it being a legendary card, thse cards do not actually display the steadiness and composure in handling various battle situations. In terms of value for money, I would say yes due to the stats growth but there seems to be seeming lacking.
Assessment
Both are rather decent cards that I would not mind having them in my collection. However, I still hope that is more to these cards that I've seen thus far. Endless Gibbon is great for filling up the holes for matches but as a great legendary card like most other legendary cards, I would say no. On the other hand the other card that we reviewed, the Sergeant Grauzral seems a much more decent card with good speed, damage and also have blast at high levels to complement the opportunity which will bring a strong value to the card.
In terms of rating, Endless Gibbon should get around 2.5/5 while Sergeant Grauzral, I would give it a 3.2/5.
Wrap Up
I do think there are definitely nice and useful cards out of the pool of Soul Bound reward cards added. So let's continue to battle, clock more Glint, then start putting the cards into greater utility be it in ranked or even during brawl. I will continue to research and look at the others card and will share another 2 cards in the next post.
