Greetings to all, it was a good year of brawls that I had in 2024. There were so many amazing moments, great battles and combined efforts to push results for the guild brawl position. My first brawl of 2025 had just ended and it is time to look at how our guild did for this brawl on all aspects such as a guild, individually how each of the brawl matches went for me and the thoughts and decisions made behind how I put up each of my lineup to face my opponent based on the rulesets.
Since the start of Rebellion introduction, I have now changed my Brawl Fray to Fray 4 for my guild which is the fray that uses only Chaos Legion and Rebellion Card. This is very beneficial for me because now that I only play in modern for my daily battles, competing brawl in this format will be just like playing a normal rank battle. By participating in this modern fray, I will get exposed to more rulesets to refine my playing in daily rank matches. I have gotten more cards from the last end of season, hopefully there are opportunities for me to use them. Let's get right on to the battles of the brawl.

I have decided to go normally without fielding any flying cards but to prepare Swamp Spitter to repair armour to get me sufficient armour sustain before earthquake takes full effect. For the other cards, it will all be heavy hitting cards with the likes of Commander Slade, Oshannus, Nerissa and a first debut for Flagulon Reine whom is able to strike with blast. |
| Outcome: | Lose. The decision to not go with any flying card cost me dearly especially with Runemancer Kye that my opponent fielded with both flying and life leech which outmuscle me through the whole earthquake. |

| Selection: | Armoured Up, Melee Mayhem and High Five. With such a ruleset combination of ruleset, I plannd for a melee rampage. Other than the melee trap with thorns at the end of the lineup, everyone else had double attack in the likes of Grund, Quora, Drybone Raider and Katrelba. Key is to strip off the armour and strike right onto the health quickly. |
| Outcome: | Win! After an opening loss, a fight back is needed to bounce back and get the momentum. Opponent had other ideas with a heavy magic lineup, but since it is melee maybe, why not strike fast and overpower our opponent with all the double attackers. |

| Selection: | Wands Out, Little League and Four is a Crowd. While I thought I had any small magic cards to select, I was rather wrong as I could only pick a handful and just field whatever I have. |
| Outcome: | Win! I thought I was the only one with a small collection, but my opponent had even fewer choices and only fielded one card in his lineup which allowed me to breeze through and clear him out with ease after 1 round. |

| Selection: | Silenced Summoner, Aimless and Maneuvers. In such a matchup, I have opted to use an earth lineup with martyr onto Quora and a backline of healers, taunters and mid range magic attackers to front. Hoping for the stray hits to land well and also Spirit Hoarder to provide the triage support. |
| Outcome: | Win! Opponent seemed to have limited cards while having a very strong summoner which allowed Quora and gang to easily overrun them before they realized what hit them. A nice win! |

| Selection: | Might Makes Right, Melee Mayhem and Target Practice. Might makes right actually restricts the amount of cards that I can use quite significantly, even Oshannus cannot be chosen due to a lower attack. Hence it is essentially planting whatever big hitters I have in my water lineup cards like Slade which will reduce opponent attack and Releanor that can strike real hard and grow. |
| Outcome: | Win! Opponent had a Coastal Sentry trapped at 2nd position that couldn't attack on the first turn which gave me additional advantage as I unloaded all the big attacks onto my opponent and secure the victory. |

| Selection: | Four is a crowd, Opportunity and Broken Arrow. 4 cards with big mana so I just gotta put in all my biggest mana cards which I chosen Iziar to divert some magic attacks while letting Drybone Barbarian and Marisol to strike from the front and having the sniping Captain Katie always on standby to take out non melee cards. |
| Outcome: | Win! The sheer amount of cards to fill the whole lineup as much as I can and the associated abilities worked well together and allowed me to walk through this with ease. |
Guild Final Tally
I am assigned 7 matches this brawl and managed to win all 6 matches out of the 7 matches (including 1 fleeing opponent). The match that I lost was a bad judgement for earthquake and a strong hint to look to purchase a Runemancer Kye whom will be such a strong card in such a matchup.
We dropped off the podium from the last as we did not have enough wins as compared to other guids. We only had 7 people participating which is not high. Now we really need more people to fill up our frays and bring us to the next level. Let's try to onboard more people into our guild, keep up the good fights and strengthen our guild. Go PIZZA 2!
Closing
A generally good start to the year, but the guild do severely lack players to fill up the empty frays which ends up us giving free wins to other guilds even when their players are not as strong as ours. If you have a shiny collection of cards and able to commit to the brawls 2 times per week, we ask for you to join us and win brawls together as a guild, gold frays tend to have more free wins and please consider joining us if you can be regular. We are getting better in our participation already and getting better brawl rewards. Do check us out in the PIZZA discord and check with the guild officers to gain entry to the guild.
