Hi, everyone. Welcome to my post. In the Social Media Challenge, I will discuss anything about SPLINTERLANDS, it can be about cards, abilities, rulesets, battle reviews, End of Season results, or my playing experience.

Dark Arborist

Although I didn't use this unit, I would like to discuss Dark Arborist. Dark Arborist is one of the Soulbound reward cards in the REBELLION edition for the Death element. Although he has a low Mana, I must admit that some of his abilities are quite suitable for dealing with units similar to his.

But we will discuss the first ability first. Dark Arborist gets the DEMORALIZE ability at first level. Although it does not match with him who is a magic unit, DEMORALIZE can be used if there are Melee units on the opponent's side by giving a reduction of 1 attack power to Melee units.

Only at level 3, Dark Arborist get the MAGIC REFLECT ability that can counterattack if he is hit by the opponent's Magic units. The number of attacks that can be launched is only half of the damage he received. This ability can be combined with his last ability, VOID which he received at level 8. VOID can reduce the damage taken if he gets attacked by magic units.

Battle

The ruleset for this battle is LITTLE LEAGUE (Only units with Mana of no more than 4 points are allowed), HEALED OUT (Healing abilities cannot be used), and FIRE AND REGRET (All units receive additional RETURN FIRE ability).

In the first round, Dark Arborist tried to attack Pelacor Conjurer but missed. He was eventually defeated by Time Mage, Sunkai Harvester, Doctor Blight, and, Venari Marksrat. Dark Arborist had countered the attacks from my magic units (Time Mage and Doctor BlightVenari MarksratUraeus targeted his attack at Revealer.) using the MAGIC REFLECT ability and hurt with the RETURN FIRE ability. Meanwhile,

Besides Dark Arborist, Shadow Snitch and Venari Spellsmith also can't hurt Pelacor Conjurer. Meanwhile, Venari Bonesmith, Life Sapper, and Revealer managed to hurt him despite being hit back through Pelacor ConjurerRevealer's MAGIC REFLECT (except who took no damage because he has the REFLECTION SHIELD ability).

In the second round, Revealer was defeated by Uraeus. Pelacor Conjurer managed to dodge the attacks launched by Venari Bonesmith and Shadow Snitch. But he was eventually defeated by Life Sapper and Venari Spellsmith (though they took damage from MAGIC REFLECT).

Time Mage, Sunkai Harvester, and Doctor Blight attacked Shadow Snitch. Luckily, he survived the defeat as the attack from Venari Marksrat failed to hit him.

In the third round, Time Mage defeated Shadow Snitch. Uraeus attacked Life Sapper and gave him a poison effect. Sunkai Harvester also defeated Venari Spellsmith.

But before losing, Venari SpellsmithTime Mage and Venari Marksrat lost. Uraeus and Doctor Blight gained additional points from the defeat of Venari Marksrat. uses the REDEMPTION ability and deals 1 point of damage to all my units. As a result,

Sunkai Harvester was defeated by Venari Bonesmith and Life Sapper. Doctor Blight attacked Venari Bonesmith and gave him a poison effect.

At the start of the fourth round, Venari Bonesmith and Life Sapper lost 2 points due to the poison effect they received in the previous round. Life SapperVenari Bonesmith was defeated by Uraeus. lost to that and dealt 1 point of damage to my entire unit through its REDEMPTION ability.

Battle Review

Despite being in the FIRE AND REGRET ruleset, I still used General Sloan as my summoner. Because I want to utilize some units that can only be used if I choose General Sloan. One of them is Pelacor ConjurerPelacor Conjurer which has the MAGIC REFLECT ability to counterattack Magic units. also has the FLYING and PHASE abilities to increase the chance of avoiding attacks from opposing units.

In addition, there is Time MageTime Mage which can slow down the SPEED of the opponent's units by 1 point, and RUST which is useful if units are wearing ARMOR on the opponent's side. RUST can be used to remove their 2 ARMORs as long as has not been defeated. But unfortunately in this battle, RUST is not useful at all.

If I had only used magic units, I might have been troubled by Dark Arborist and his MAGIC REFLECT . Luckily, I used all types of attacks in this battle even though the unit range was disadvantaged by the FIRE AND REGRET ruleset.
