in Splinterlands2 days ago

Hi, everyone. Welcome to my post. In the Social Media Challenge, I will discuss anything about SPLINTERLANDS, it can be about cards, abilities, rulesets, battle reviews, End of Season results, or my playing experience.

Ulundin Overseer and Daarg Deadblast

This time, I will simultaneously discuss two units from REBELLION Edition: Ulundin Overseer and Daarg Deadblast.

Ulundin Overseer is a Neutral Common Unit with no Attack power. Even so, he is equipped with quite a lot of Health and ARMOR because the amount of Mana needed is also quite high. From the initial level to the highest level, Ulundin Overseer only has 1 ability (FLANK). FLANK is an ability that will give the ability to attack the Melee unit after it. The ability given is like REACH an ability that can only be used if Ulundin Overseer is in the first position and the Melee unit is in the second position.

The second unit is Daarg Deadblast. Daarg Deadblast is a good unit, but unfortunately the rental price is too expensive so I can only test this unit at level 1.

At level 1, Daarg Deadblast has 2 abilities, namely WEAPONS TRAINING and SWIFTNESS abilities. WEAPONS TRAINING will give attack power to No-Attack units placed nearby. So if there are 2 No-Attack units placed nearby, then both units will receive additional Attack power equal to Daarg Deadblast (2 Magic Attack). Another ability (SWIFTNESS) will give an additional 1 SPEED point to all my units. This is quite rare for units that have only 1 SPEED point.

What is the relationship between the two of them? Let's take a look at the battle below...

Battle

The ruleset for this battle is TARGET PRACTICE (all units in the arena receive an additional SNIPE ability), ODD ONES OUT (This ruleset only allows the use of units that have odd Mana), and TIS BUT SCRATCHES (all units in the arena receive an additional CRIPPLE ability)

In the first round, Pelacor Bandit attacked Gem Meteor. Meanwhile, Scavo Hireling, Endura Brune, Daarg Deadblast, and Ulundin Overseer attacked Nerissa Tridawn. My Legionnaire Alvar attacked my opponent's.

On the opposing side, Gem Meteor directed its attacks at Endura Brune. Meanwhile, Nerissa Tridawn, Gargoya Devil, and River Hellondale attacked Ulundin Overseer. Flying Squid successfully landed its attack on my Legionnaire Alvar, while the attack from the opponent's Legionnaire Alvar missed.

In the second round, Pelacor Bandit was still attacking Gem Meteor. Nerissa Tridawn was defeated by attacks from Scavo Hireling, Endura Brune, and Daarg Deadblast. Although revived by River Hellondale, Nerissa Tridawn was again defeated by Ulundin Overseer.

The opponent's Flying Squid and Legionnaire Alvar successfully attacked my Legionnaire Alvar but my Legionnaire Alvar failed to land an attack on it. This time, Gem Meteor aimed its attack at Daarg Deadblast. River Hellondale and Gargoya Devil attacked Ulundin Overseer.

In the third round, Gem Meteor was defeated by Pelacor Bandit. River Hellondale was also defeated by Scavo Hireling, Endura Brune, and Daarg Deadblast. Flying Squid and Legionnaire Alvar from both sides landed their attacks on each other. Ulundin Overseer and Gargoya Devil also attacked each other.

In the fourth round, Endura Brune failed to land his attack on Gargoya Devil. However, he was defeated by Pelacor Bandit, Scavo Hireling, and Daarg Deadblast. My Legionnaire Alvar briefly attacked before being defeated by my opponent's Flying Squid and Legionnaire Alvar. The first-position Ulundin Overseer attacked the opponent's Legionnaire Alvar.

In the fifth round, Pelacor Bandit attacked Flying Squid. Legionnaire Alvar was defeated by Scavo Hireling and Endura Brune. Flying Squid attacked Ulundin Overseer but was countered by Ulundin Overseer and Daarg Deadblast. The Flying Squid was defeated in the next round by Pelacor Bandit and Scavo Hireling.

Battle Review

Due to the limitation of one of the rulesets (ODD ONES OUT) that only allows units that have odd Mana, I lacked the option to choose units that could repel (or resist) attacks from the Magic and Range of the opponent's units that received the SNIPE ability from the TARGET PRACTICE ruleset. Because most of them are units that have even mana (such as Baakjira and Wave Brood*). Luckily I had rented Ulundin Overseer and I immediately decided to use it.

Although it doesn't have SHIELD or VOID abilities to withstand attacks from the opponent's Magic and Ranged units, at least Ulundin Overseer has a lot of Health and ARMOR. I also placed it close to Daarg Deadblast so that Ulundin Overseer could gain attack power and participate in attacking the opponent's units.

I also brought Endura Brune to reduce the Attack power of the opponent's Magic and Ranged units so that Ulundin Overseer doesn't take as much damage.

Daarg Deadblast looks like a great card for battle. Thanks for showing us

Yeah, that's right. But too bad that his rent price is expensive (I only rent level 1)

He's an annoying card that I don't have. 😅

Which one? Ulundin? Daarg? Or All of them?

I was referring to Ulindin but now that you mention it, Daarg too 😅
My opponent partners Daarg with Baakjira and the Merdaali Guardian, so annoying 😂

Lol, full magic units with Void tank + Baakjira always get healed. Adding CLEANSE unit like River Nymph or Anasth Soothsayer to make them unbeatable 🤣🤣 (in Fog of War Ruleset or if you didn't have SCATTER SHOT units)
