Hello everyone and welcome again!
Dragons are back for the battle challenge! and I am very happy about this because I love to play my games using these cards. Right now I'm playing in Silver rank and the truth is that there are not many high mana battles, perfect to play with dragons, although that is changing little by little thanks to the recent updates of the game, in the meantime let's focus on this challenge.
My cards
Summoner
Drake of Arnak
- Untamed Edition.
- Mana cost: 4 points.
- Buff: +1 armor to friendly monsters.
Tank
Djinn Chwalla
- Reward Edition.
- Mana cost: 8 points.
- Ability: Thorns at lvl 1.
The rest of my team
In this battle the Equal Opportunity ruleset was active, so I sent many cards with a powerful attack and with dangerous abilities for this ruleset, I also added Disintegrator for its ability to decrease the Melee attack that was sure to be present by the ruleset, in fact by using it I ended up nullifying the enemy summoner.
All attacks will go first for my Coastal Sentry and this is on purpose, because I wanted to keep Disintegrator and Diemonshark in the field as much as possible, also using Djinn Chwalla as a tank guarantees that you will do double damage in that position.
How use this cards?
The science of these cards is to combine them as the first cards of your team, Drake of Arnak as your summoner and Djinn Chwalla as your tank, she has torns ability so is a guarantee in Melee battles and as Arnak increases her armor it makes more durable and the longer Chwalla lasts in the field the more damage his torns do, he also has a very good attack and a lot of life. I remember that it was precisely these two cards that I used in my last post about Dragons and it is no coincidence, both are very powerful and in Bronze-Silver are the most OP of the whole game and the only starting weakness they can have is magic and that is easy to counteract in those ranks if you use the right cards for that, so yes, these two cards are still top.
It is for that reason that I still use them even though this battle totally changes the whole approach, there is more mana and a much more varied ruleset that gives breadth to the game.
In a ruleset like this it is very common to use many Melee cards since they usually have a lot of attack, that's why a summoner like Drake of Arnak is very important in this battle thanks to its armor buff, very important to give that extra turn of life to your monsters that makes the difference in certain cases. And I'm only talking about two cards, the dragon set has an incredible range of possibilities that you can't miss.
With this combination of only two cards you completely secure the tank position both offensively and defensively, leaving you free to fill your team with the best you can according to the ruleset.
And for last, My Battle
Round 1
My Djinn Chwalla will quickly take care of that Lava Golem that is always a nuisance, with this ruleset the tanks will attack each other and nothing else so the better tank of the two will win.
Diemonshark has Trample and the truth is that I have the doubt if this ability is activated or not with this ruleset, so I place it in second position, in case it is not activated with the ruleset then it will arrive quickly to the first position and there if he can use his ability.
Coastal Sentry will be the first card to receive the damage and I did that so my Disintegrator will last longer and apply its effect for more turns, the same with the Arnak's armor is sure to activate its double attack.
Djinn Oshannus is always a guarantee, that's why I use it every time I can, also if my opponent uses magic cards this one with its high speed and its combination of skills is a headache.
Disintegrator is also here for his trample but mostly for his Demoralize ability, which leaves Tarsa half nullified and gives me an advantage.
Finally Serpent of Eld in last place to be a target of attacks and dodge a lot using his skills, also has a lot of damage and with this ruleset is a clear success.
Round 2
Everything worked great with the team's plan, Coastal Sentry took all the damage but did its job killing one enemy and leaving the other on the edge for Oshannus to finish him off.
That left me with two card advantage in just one round and all thanks to my team's terrible combined damage and on top of that, that extra point of armor. Mind you, if my Coastal Sentry hadn't had that extra armor I would have died in the first round.
Round 3
Already in this round the battle was beginning to end and tip the balance to my side. Djinn Chwalla still hadn't taken any damage and even had armor remaining while the enemy tank fell in the previous round, that's thanks to the combination of my dragons. That's why it's one of the best combinations in the whole game for this rank, as long as you don't play against pure magic, of course.
Round 4
In this round my doubt did nothing but grow, and is that by the ruleset my Diemonshark attacked and killed a card and activated his Trample, the problem is that this card was in the first position so was my trample activated with the ruleset of the battle or because the enemy was in the first round? I won't find that answer in this battle, unfortunately.
What I do know is that this battle was a resounding victory for my dragon team!
What was my experience with this cards?
I said it before and I repeat it now, this combination of cards is amazing if you are a low rank player, it always works great for me in Bronze and Silver, but even if you are higher it will also be very useful because Djinn Chwalla learns Enrage becoming even stronger. And as I said before these two are just a small part of an incredible set of cards that will bring you many victories for your battles!
Thank you very much for reading my post, I hope to see you in the next one, see you soon!
