A Case For Gold

in Splinterlands3 years ago (edited)

Of all the cards in Splinterlands, which ones are the most collectable? What series are the best to collect, and what are cards are likely to hold their value the most going into the future?

We are on the verge of getting a new set of cards on Splinterlands, and for one, I'm excited. But the influx of so many new players and cards will cause the markets to mature.

Right now, some of the most valuable cards in the marketplace are cards from Beta that are strong and common in almost everyone's deck.

What happens when the new set offers cards that can compete with those powerful Beta cards? What happens then?

Well... supply and demand.

When players start spending money to level up the new cards and the new players are not buying the expensive Beta cards, the prices are sure to go down.

So what do you invest in?

You an't go wrong with Golds.

The golds are the most rare and seemingly desirable cards in the game. Many start leveled up to some degree over the base sets, and they have some of the lowest circulation numbers.

Golds are great to collect and rent out to make passive income on the cards.

in addition to golds, I think the Alpha series cards will be the set that people will want as more and more players come to the game and more cards are released.

So my picks are Gold cards or Alphas...

Gold Alphas are the best.

What cards do you think will hold their value the best?

Sort:

ill be collecting some of those gold foils once the market hits a turn and its more affordable.

I agree. I sold a lot of extra Beta cards and buying Alphas and Gold for longer tern holding.

Good posts, keep'em coming! Gold cards definitely went over my head when I first started playing, and I had a few legendary alpha golds in my hands at some point. Sold them for $200 or $300. :-/

I know we all have a few regrets in the game. Especially the longer you've been here. Thanks for the support NY
