Welcome back to the series I’m running this week on Chaos Legion as we near the final week before launch! In these posts I’m going to be highlighting the top 5 cards per Splinter that I think really excel at the Silver level! If you missed my post yesterday showing the Top Tarsa Toys you can catch up here:

Today we move on to Kelya Frendul and his Aquatic Allies! Kelya brings a new style of play to the Water Splinter - instead of either benefitting or nullifying Magic damage like Alric and Bortus, Kelya makes the Sharks Swifter and the Tunas Tankier! With a +1 buff to both Speed and Armor, Kelya is great for the already quite Speedy and Tanky units water has to offer like Serpant of Eld. But with him also come a bunch of new Sea Creatures that benefit heavily from this buff!
So without further ado, let’s get into the Top 5 Water Chaos Legion Cards for Silver Rank!
At Number 5 we have the Flying Squid:
At the Silver Tier, we can get this guy all the way up to Level 5! With Kelya he’ll then have 5 Speed, 3 Damage, 9 HP and 1 Armor point, alongside Reach, making him a great 2nd Tank in your team! He’ll be able to survive a pretty hefty punch after your main tank dies, and until then he can still chip in some meaningful damage! While he isn’t flashy, he is certainly effective!
At Number 4 we have our first Legendary to appear in one of these lists, River Hellondare!
Hellondare is simply fantastic at the High Mana Caps. Behind your beefy tanks, 2 Magic Damage is nothing to laugh at, and he even offers the Resurrect ability to revive your Tank to take another hit! But what really is a game-changer for River is Inspire, which is gained at Level 2. This makes all your fast, already hard hitting Sharks and Squids wipe out your enemies team even faster! The only thing keeping River from a higher spot is the dependance on a High Mana Cap to be able to squeeze in to the team!
We’re staying higher Rarity here at Number 3, where I’ve placed Igor Darkspear:
At Level 3, Igor is 2 Mana for 2 Damage. Simple, but incredibly efficient. Add in his 5 HP and the Armor from Kelya and you have a decent Sneak-Tank for low cost as well! A great Unit to have in your Deck for when you find yourself with just a couple of Mana left!
We’re taking a step back down to Common for my Number 2 Card in Chaos Legion for Water as we take a look at the Deeplurker:
With 4 Attack and Oppurtunity, this Sea Creature is here to quickly take out your Opponent’s Support Monsters! He’ll focus in on those Goblin Psychics and Wood Nymphs keeping their Tank alive, or even take out their main Damage Dealers that are hiding behind a Tank! In High Mana Caps, you can pair this card with River Hellondare to get even more Attack to One-Shot backline!
Finally, we are onto our Number One card, and it is none other than the Wave Brood!
This Card is absolutely incredible to turn your opponents targeted strategy around! Your backline Damage in the form of Axemasters or Mages no longer need to worry about that Serpentine Spy or Sand Worm - as with an Impressive 13 HP and 1 Armor thanks to Kelya, Wave Brood will take so long to kill that your Damage will have long since taken out the Tanks of the opponent! This Card has seen a significant Nerf from the original leak, where it gained Self Heal at Level 3, but it is still absolutely essential to the Water deck in Chaos Legion!
What do you guys think? Have I missed your favourite Cards or do you agree with my list? Let me know in the comments below! And please consider dropping an upvote if you read this far and enjoyed - I plan to make a lot more content to help out my fellow Silver players!
Tomorrow I’m going to be looking at Obsidian and the Earth Splinter - the new Magic spam, but is there more to them? Find out tomorrow!
