But You Told Us Not To Buy Packs!
Despite all my better judgment and everything I’ve been saying in my blog, I did it. I couldn’t help myself! I wanted to give you guys the best advice I could, but I am a gambler at heart. I bought a few Chaos Legion packs. But only 6! I thought I would treat myself a little (and sate my primal TCG player need to open packs!) and then save the rest for buying singles. I could not have asked for better results!
First off, these are the first packs I have ever opened in Splinterlands. Maybe they were trying to reel me in, so I’ll have to control myself now! Why do I keep gushing about my pulls? Well let me show you:
Packs 1 & 2
So when I say I only bought 6 packs, I actually only set out to buy 2. I did this right after release, and if they weren’t good, I was done! So in my first ever Splinterlands packs, what did I get!
A Gold Foil and a Legendary! What incredible luck! Sadly, not any cards I was particularly after. BUT, I could sell the Legionnaire and the Sethropod to buy two more..
Packs 3 & 4
A Legendary again! And another Gold Foil! I hadn’t had a dud pack yet - which is so crazy! Having watched a lot of pack openings I knew this was uncommon. This time I was able to sell the Hellondare for $11.50, meaning I had profited! Part of me wanted to quit while I was ahead, but a little voice was telling me that even if I opened 2 more packs and got nothing I’d still be up. Terrible logic I know, but I gave in, and boy am I glad I did!
Packs 5 & 6
Oh. My. Days. 2 more Gold Foils, 1 more Legendary! And not only that, the Legendary was one of those Gold Foils! Thank you little voice in my head, this was so incredibly worth it! I was able to sell my Ifrit for $120 - Over doubling my budget for Chaos Legion! This is incredible! As a low budget player this is such a huge help towards getting the deck I want to own! The Goblin Psychic also sold for $3.50
So, What’re The Actual Numbers?
My packs cost me $24 to buy, and I already had the potions from my Daily Quest rewards. From my $24, I sold the Legionnaire for $7, Hellondare for $11.50, Golden Ifrit for $120, and the other assorted Gold Foils for about $5. That’s $143.50, take the $24 leaving me $119.50 in profit! I had absolutely incredible pack luck, and I’m so happy. I also gained a minimal, but real, airdrop chance. The chances of me getting a card are extremely low, but my luck is sky high at the moment! I’m really hoping for the newly revealed card, Grum (who I may write a blog post covering if anyone is interested!).
How did you guys do? Any crazy pulls or disappointing pack runs? I want to hear your guys experience with Chaos Legion so far!

Amazing pulls! You’d be surprised to see that legendary gold will be worth triple than what you sold it for in 6 months. Don’t worry it happens all the time.
