20th May 2023.
I joined Splinterlands around December 2021.
It was the height of the rush to join Play to Earn games.
Axie Infinity was hitting traditional media headlines.
The economy was shit and money was hard to come by.
Playing games to earn a living sounds like the dream of every boy/girl who grew up playing games.
But dreams made into reality may not be the heaven you imagine them to be.
Bot conversation
This has been rehashed many times.
In Townhalls.
In Discord.
There are pros and cons to having bots in the game.
As a gamer, the only tangible advantage is to have quick matchups to play.
But is that what a gamer wants?
It just sucks the soul out of you
Playing against bots all day feels like a job.
A chore that needs to be completed every night to justify the "investments" made in the game.
Once in a while, I would come across a recognizable human player.
Shoutout to BunsBagsAndCaps. Regardless of the outcome, it feels good to battle against you.
I just want to play against a human player.
