As a new player, I have read plenty of articles about how splinterlands becomes less and less welcoming for newcomers.
Daily quests have not been utterly rewarding, a few DECs, many useless potions, and no way to quickstart by buying quest potions. But the game being fun, I enjoyed it a lot for the first week.
Average victory rate not that bad with the base cards, a bit of renting to gain enough power...
And then, the season ends, and it suddenly felt like christmas morning.
I know these cards are not the most valuable but joined with previous rewards, it covers the initial investment for the spellbook... In less than a week.
So now, I you ask me if I feel forsaken in an world too hostile for newbies, I would clearly say no.
Just keep faith, believe in the heart of the cards and enjoy the ride!
