I successfully reached the Bronze I League yesterday (2021.10.04) evening.
Hard work pays off, as someone would say.
But will I go into the next (Silver III) League?
Certainly/definitely not, because it is locked.
Okay, my card pack is currently not powerful enough for anything higher than the Bronze I League.
But if this is the case, then why is it so valuable? Like $546.03 USD.
This is hilarious. Looks like this game is indeed became the game of the rich. Imagine something similar in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. You cannot be Silver, even if your skin collection is worth more than $500 USD.
This is a lot of money.
So much that we are talking about literally a value of more than my total monthly income in real life, and I am sure that I am not alone with this.
If a more than $500 USD worth of card pack is not enough for the Silver III League, then what do you currently need in the higher Leagues?
I say "currently", because prices can change quickly and anytime, and if I remember correctly, I was in the Silver League multiple times in the previous 2-3 years, but now I am locked out of it.
I play this game since 2018.12.30, but it is became very hard because of the irreally high card prices.
its really expensive now to play anything past bronze, maybe when the new set comes out it will get better somehow
As I see it, the more older your card pack is, the more valuable. For example the Alpha and even most of the Beta cards are very expensive nowadays.
But let us hope that the prices will become normal/proper, because this is crazy/insane.

This should get better I believe when Chaos drops. Chaos will bring cheaper cards, which means that we can collect more Collection Power for a lower cost! This is what I hear is coming, it will be an exciting time. I am hoping for lower priced cards because I need CP myself! I started this week and I hit the same road block. Good luck to you my friend!

Collection Power definitely is a barrier to advancing and it definitely isn't cheap to advance. I get blocked off from advancing maybe a week or so from season end as I don't have enough to move up too. Though for me, its the barrier between Gold II to Gold I.

Gold Leagues? Those nowadays probably costs a card pack worth of thousand of dollars. Like a complete monthly salary, even in the USA. At least the rewards are also valuable. I received 195.191 SPS so far, and it is currently worth $124.56 USD. And this is just/only the SPS airdrop.

Well...I bought packs back when things were cheaper and before things exploded. If I sold the packs I held, I would get back my initial investment and I would still have my current collection power. !PIZZA !LUV
