Grettings fellow Splinterlands heroes, explorer and enthusiasts of this amazing cardsgame. This is the first time i make a post for Splinterlands Challenge of the Week, so bear with me and my humble first baby steps into the Hive world ☺️
This week's SHARE YOUR BATTLE Weekly Challenge! was under the sign of the Captain's Ghost.
After reading the blog post about Splinterland's weekly challenge and requirements, I was immediately thrilled. I just improved my Water Deck with this card! It is focused on Mana attacking Monsters and ALRIC STORMBRINGER as summoner (+1 Magic Attack to all Monsters) .
- Healed out (no heals can be used)
- Reversed Speed (1 is the fastest attacking speed, thats perfect for CAPTAINS GHOST in this setup he is a very fast attacking Monster!)
- 30 Mana pool (enough to make a strong team)
- I use a strong tank with 1 speed in the front row and two 2 Magic attacking power monsters with 1 speed both of them are really strong in a Reversed Speed battle
- The last 5 Mana could maybe be used in a better way but i wanted to stick with the magic dmg setup and managed to squeez out 4 more magic attacking power with it
But then comes the shocker....
I fight against golden MALRIC INFERNO and a golden CHAIN GOLEM in the front (he has Magic reduction!)
The turning point in this battle was in round 4 when the CAPTAIN'S GHOST killed the CHAIN GOLEM, soon after that my first line tank dies aswell but not without taking the rock bird with it!
The last rounds are just for cleaning up the board since my enemy only got range attacking monsters left (can´t attack from the front row). In the grand finale my CAPTAIN'S GHOST still standing strong and deliver the final blow to the ETTIN SPEARMAN
Some final thoughts: CAPTAIN'S GHOST can be a really powerful card for lvl 1 summoner decks, because of its 2 Magic attack. The downside is it´s slow attack speed, which i could take advantage in this specific setup! For this battle, I really liked it! It shows everyone that with some good tactics you can beat a way superior enemy! That´s it, my first ever weekly SHARE YOUR BATTLE challange!
