Hello everyone! It is a pleasure to reconnect with you and welcome you to a new publication. Today I'm excited to share my latest artwork, which I created for @splinterlands art contest number 332. This time I decided to take inspiration from one of the most intriguing characters in the game: Fungus Flinger. Throughout this post, I'll show you a glimpse into my creative process, from the first ideas to the final illustration. I hope you enjoy this walkthrough as much as I enjoyed creating it. ¡Hola a todos! Es un placer volver a conectarme con ustedes y darles la bienvenida a una nueva publicación. Hoy estoy emocionada de compartir mi más reciente obra, que he creado para el concurso de arte de @splinterlands, número 332. Esta vez decidí inspirarme en uno de los personajes más intrigantes del juego: Fungus Flinger. A lo largo de este post, les mostraré un vistazo a mi proceso creativo, desde las primeras ideas hasta la ilustración final. Etapas desde el boceto hasta el coloreado y el arte final./Stages from the sketch to the coloring and final art:
Todo el arte digital que he realizado para esta ilustración fue creado utilizando FireAlpaca, un software de dibujo que ofrece una versión gratuita y que resulta ser una herramienta muy versátil para artistas digitales.
El proceso creativo comenzó con un boceto inicial en el que plasmé mis ideas sobre el personaje de Fungus Flinger. Una vez que estuve satisfecha con la composición, procedí a realizar el delineado, asegurándome de capturar todos los detalles que hacen a este personaje tan singular.
A continuación, pasé a la fase de coloración. Comencé aplicando color a todo el cuerpo de Fungus Flinger, así como a las setas que adornan su cabeza y a las bombas venenosas que son parte de su arsenal. Para darle más profundidad a la ilustración, trabajé en las sombras y las zonas iluminadas utilizando un pincel de acuarela, lo que permitió que los colores se fundieran de manera natural y fluida.
Finalmente, añadí un toque especial al fondo con un color degradado, creando un contraste que realza la figura principal. Para culminar el proceso, incorporé detalles de luz en la piel del personaje, las bombas y las setas, así como en el fondo, lo que añadió un efecto vibrante y dinámico a la obra.
Este viaje creativo ha sido muy gratificante, y estoy entusiasmada por compartir el resultado final con todos ustedes. ¡Espero que lo disfruten!
All the digital art I made for this illustration was created using FireAlpaca, a drawing software that offers a free version and which turns out to be a very versatile tool for digital artists.
The creative process began with an initial sketch in which I expressed my ideas about the character of Fungus Flinger. Once I was satisfied with the composition, I proceeded to outline, making sure to capture all the details that make this character so unique.
Next, I moved on to the coloring phase. I started by applying color to Fungus Flinger's entire body, as well as the mushrooms that adorn his head and the poison bombs that are part of his arsenal. To give more depth to the illustration, I worked in the shadows and highlights using a watercolor brush, which allowed the colors to blend together naturally and fluidly.
Finally, I added a special touch to the background with a gradient color, creating a contrast that highlights the main figure. To complete the process, I incorporated light details on the character's skin, bombs and mushrooms, as well as in the background, which added a vibrant and dynamic effect to the work.
This creative journey has been very rewarding, and I am excited to share the final result with all of you. I hope you enjoy it!
