As the name suggests, the Weary ability reflects or causes tiredness. Only a few cards possess this ability, such as Halfling Refugee and Elanor Bravefoot. I mostly use Halfling Refugee as my tank since it has a Heal ability and Elanor is kinda expensive card but usable if you want to utilize the ability of Blasphemy of Uul. While this ability Weary might seem like a downside for your lineup team, it is reasonable for these specific cards since their mana cost is extremely low at just 1 or even 0. A balance on their stats and abilities remains fair within the game.
Now, the reason I’m discussing and highlighting the Weary ability is because of its unique condition mechanics: it has a 10% chance to trigger initially, increasing by 10% each round up to a maximum of 80%. When triggered, it causes the affected unit to skip its attack in the following round. Using a unit with the Weary ability adds unpredictability to the match, making luck of not being exhausted is what determines who will win the match.
I will be sharing with you an interesting battle of Clutch Play Timing of Weary. I'm using scholar account BLTZR-WIZARD-728 in modern format battle.

The rule set given is Up Close & Persona, Earthquake, and 13 mana cap with Fire, Water, and Dragon elements active.
I kinda messed up choosing Quix the Devious in this match and didn't even use dragon element units on my line-up I was planning to utilize Vruz to boost my Diemonshark but didn't end up well😅.
Diemonshark is an ideal choice for the Up Close & Personal ruleset due to its powerful combination of abilities: Trample, Rage, and Retaliate, which synergize well for close-range low mana cap battles with summoner Kelya Frendul to add up speed and armor stats by 1. Using Vruz could have been a good strategic choice with summoner Quix the Devious, but I wasn't able to utilize it effectively in this match. My line-up consists of Diemonshark as the main melee damage, Halfling Refugee will act as a survivor with Heal, and Torient Feind for extra backline support respectively position line-up.
The opponent also used the same cards but chose Kelya Frendul as their summoner and arranged their lineup differently with Diemonshark, Torrent Fiend, and Halfling Refugee. Anticipating that I would rely on sneak attacks (which I didn’t), they positioned Halfling Refugee at the back for protection.
Considering the opponent’s strategic use of Kelya Frendul, their well-thought-out positioning, and a different level of Halfling Refugee, who do you think would win: my messy lineup or their carefully positioned one?
As the battle progressed, both teams’ Diemonsharks eliminated each other, leaving only the Halfling Refugees to decide the outcome. To my surprise, the opponent’s Halfling Refugee was frequently exhausted by the Weary ability, rendering it unable to heal or attack effectively.
In difference, my Halfling Refugee avoided the same fate and managed to clutch the match, securing an unexpected victory. This unit turned out to be the MVP of the battle. I honestly didn’t expect to win, as it felt like a battle of luck—but it seems my luck was better this time!
LUCK of your match is unpredictable, it isn't always about strategy sometimes luck and a little wearing down the opponent can make all the difference.
A Big Thanks! for supporting me, being here, and coming this far. I hope this strategy can assist you with some of your battles with this rule sets.

Hey mate, the Halfing Refugee with the Weary ability is a very nice card, but sometimes happens what has happened to your enemy. It´s an amazing tank, but he is not always going to attack! GG mate and see you on the Battlefied!
