Good day everyone splinterlands community, today I will share another interesting battle strategy using Pelacor Mercenary and Bramble Pixie. Also, this challenge posted by splinterlands
social media challenge and I will reinvest some of my sps into HP to improve my KE value while also renting SPS and cards to optimize my gameplay and earn more. This time I'm using scholar account BLTZR-WIZARD-728 in modern format battle.
Pelacor Mercenary is an excellent melee tank for the Noxious Fumes and Up Close & Personal rule sets in the Earth element due to its strong survivability and utility. With Flying, it has a higher chance of evading attacks, while Heal allows it to recover from the poison damage caused by Noxious Fumes, giving it a significant advantage over non-healing units. Additionally, its Retaliate ability makes it a formidable front-liner, countering melee attackers in the Up Close & Personal rule set. With good solid stats of 3 melee damage, 1 armor, 11 health, and 4 speed, Pelacor Mercenary becomes versatile for Melee battle endurance and self-sustaining tank, capable of chance survivability in a few rounds of battles.
Bramble Pixie is a secondary melee attacker for the Noxious Fumes and Up Close & Personal rule sets in the Earth element, making it a perfect pair for Pelacor Mercenary. With Reach, it can attack from the second position, for additional melee damage output while can also be a second tank. Its Heal ability enhances its survivability, allowing it to recover from poison damage and stay in the fight longer. With impressive stats of 5 melee damage, 4 speed, and 10 health, Bramble Pixie provides both offensive damage help of Pelacor Mercenary and durability, making it an ideal choice for sustaining damage and overwhelming opponents in these rule sets.

The rule set given is Up Close & Persona, Deflection Field and Noxious Fumes with 24 mana cap, and inactive elements are fire and Dragon
I chose Obsidian as my summoner to utilize the Earth element while keeping my mana cost efficient. My lineup includes Pelacor Mercenary as the main tank, Bramble Pixie to support melee attacks with Reach, and Halaran Huntress for additional frontline damage. I also added Venator Kinjo for support, reducing the opponent's speed, and Fungus Fiend as another speed debuff speed unit. My line-up is more focused on maintaining durability while ensuring my team can strike first in the Noxious Fumes and Up Close & Personal rule sets.
My opponent also selected the Earth element but opted for Lobb Lowland as their summoner. The opponent line-up, deploys Venari Knifer, Quora Towershead, Venator Kinjo, and Fungus Fiend. The key focus of their strategy is Quora Towershead, which is immune to poison, making it a strong pick for Noxious Fumes. However, Venari Knifer might not be as effective since Thorns is countered by Reflection Shield in this match. While Quora is pretty powerful with Immunity ability, will it be enough to withstand my Pelacor Mercenary and my team's speed reduction tactics? Which strategy do you think will work effectively and win?
As the battle progresses, It shows that opponent Quora Towershead was overwhelmed by the melee damage of my team. I dominate the opponent with both speed and melee power.
Pelacor Mercenary and Bramble Pixie are the perfect duo on this rule set to overpower Quora Towershead, combining sustain with abilities and more melee damage. Together, they outlasted and overwhelmed Quora, preventing it from dominating with scary Bloodlust ability the battle despite its Immunity in the Noxious Fumes rule set.
