I'm sure many of Splinterland's community posts have mentioned the value of Riftwing in battles. If some of you are still not convinced yet, let me show you my battle, of which Riftwing was MVP.

In a bronze matchup, the ruleset was "Lost Magic", which means no magic units allowed. Here, my opponent went with a good strategy: range summoner along with multiple range units. For those of you wondering why I did not pick Contessa to counter him, it was because I had rented a level 2 Thaddius Broot in order to use my level 2 Windeku and level 3 Sha-vi to overpower my opponent quickly using melee strategy.
However, it was a miscalculation on my side as my Windeku was shattered almost immediately. However, something interesting happened. When my Windeku fell in the first round, Riftwing took over as the front line and what happened next was nothing short of a miracle. First, Riftwing had managed to avoid the enemy's attack FIVE times in a row, which is absolutely lucky considering the small speed advantage (except its natural flying buff). Coupled with the fact that the scavenger skill regained his HP just enough to tank the opponent's backline damage.
Personally, I feel that my opponent should have won this battle, but I want to emphasize the value of Riftwing in terms of utility, especially at higher levels. You never know when Riftwing will compensate for your miscalculation.
Monsters with the flying ability can often avoid being hit by non-flying monsters.
Yes! I have read about the flying ability as well. It gives a 25% chance of avoiding the attack. Still, if Riftwing did not avoid taking damage at least 3 times, I would have lost :D
I use Riftwing quite frequently.
