Now we can get a delegation of around 200 HP from @ecency for up to 90 days, and you need only 1,500 Ecency points for it.
I think this is excellent motivation for everyone, from beginners to experienced users. However, many may find earning 1,500 Ecency points challenging. Therefore, I decided to conduct a small analysis and provide a plan on how to earn 1500 points.
First, how do I get Ecency points? I already told you about it before, but let's refresh our memory.
The main ways to get ecency points can be found in the 'Ecency points' tab in the wallet.
Also, you can buy Ecency points for fiat, and probably it is the fastest way to get points, but it requires investments.
Besides that, there are other ways to get Ecency points for FREE. And one of the best of them is contests.
There are many different and interesting contests on Ecency where you can earn ecency points. Here are several contests that might be interesting to you:
- Writing contest,
- SMASh,
- Reflection Hunters,
- Words that inspire,
- Feathered Friends,
- QC Communit
- POBphotocontest
- TRAVEL CONTEST
Most contests are held weekly, so if you missed participating in the current round, you have a chance to do so next week. Prizes and the number of points you can win vary in each contest. But don't forget, participating in any contest is primarily about having fun and a chance to make a mark. It's also an opportunity to support the community.
Now, let's roughly calculate how much time you'll need to earn 1500 points.
As I mentioned before, the number of Ecency points you can get in a contest varies, but let's assume you'll get a minimum of 20 points for each contest. In the list above, I indicated a total of 8 contests. So, in a week, you can earn around 160 points by participating in contests. However, note that in some contests, the prize pool is even 500 points!
Next, let's assume that every day you perform basic actions in Ecency and earn points for them:
- Usage bonus - 10 points
- Spending 1 hour in the app - 0.25 points
- Publishing 1 post - 15 points
- Leaving 1 comment - 5 points
- Voting for 1 post - 0.3 points
- Reblogging 1 post - 1 point
- Spin a wheel - 1 point
In total, we get 32.55 points per day. That is the minimum that everyone can easily earn in Ecency in less than 1 hour. Thus, in a week, you can earn 227.85 points for basic actions.
So, 227.85 points for actions and 160 points for contests, it means that in a week, you can earn a minimum of 387.85 points. This means you need less than 4 weeks to earn 1500 points!
And if you put in a bit more effort...
WRITE MORE
You can write more than 1 article per day. Then, for the second article, you will get 11.25 points, for the third - 7.5. In this case, if you write 3 articles a day, just for articles, you can earn 33.75 points.
⚠️WARNING! Don't forget about the quality and uniqueness of your publications. And unfortunately, if you publish more than 1 post a day it can attract Hivewatchers.
COMMENT MORE
Each comment also has weight. If for 1 comment you get 5 points, for the second - 4.667, for the third - 4.334, for the fourth - 4.001, for the fifth - 3.668, for the sixth - 3.335, for the seventh - 3.002, for the eighth - 2.669, for the ninth - 2.336, for the tenth - 2.336, and so on. So, if you leave 10 comments a day, you will get 40.015 points!
STAY ONLINE LONGER
Moreover, the more time you spend on Ecency, the more points you earn. For each hour spent on the Ecency dapp, you get 0.25 points. And you don't necessarily have to comment, write, or perform any active actions during this time. You can simply read other articles, and so on.
So what do we get in this case? In a day, you can earn 97.315 points, and in a week - 681.205 points just for basic actions. In this case, you can earn 1500 points in less than 3 weeks just by using the platform. And if you also participate in contests, you will reach your goal much faster!

The new version is very unstable and crashed very often. I couldn’t upload photos and the App kept shutting down.
I couldn’t blog on this new version any more.

Yup. I did try several times. I still couldn’t upload a single photo on my mobile phone.
Could I get back to the old version? This new version is playing havoc with me. It keeps crashing during my commenting making it very difficult to work with. I have to leave this until you have a new version with more stability and less bugs.
The app works fine for me. Do try clearing your phone cache and reinstalling newest version of app.
Also anytime the app is not working as expected go into settings and change servers. The app works pretty perfectly, when it isn't working it is often a node issue.
I have tried everything. It crashes as soon as I upload a photo. It is not working for me somehow. Can no longer blog on this app. Wonder if others had the same problems.
