Esie is busy today reflecting on the past year. It has been a year full of different events. She met many new friends in the @Ecency community, and she is very happy about that. Esie loves contests and fun activities, so this year she organized various contests and challenges in the Ecency Support community. Did you participate in any of them?
Esie really wants to share something meaningful with her friends in the community. She thought a lot about this topic. She has so much to tell her friends. And she decided to** share with you a book that left a lasting impression on her**. By the way, did you know that Essie loves to read? She often rereads the stories you shared in the Writing contest.
'Slow Productivity: The Lost Art of Accomplishment Without Burnout'
The book I would like to share with you is called 'Slow Productivity: The Lost Art of Accomplishment Without Burnout' by Cal Newport.
The first time I came across that book was a random Google search. I was looking for something to read listen to when I am doing some home stuff or when I am on the road. So, I bought an audiobook... And it was hard to focus on doing something else, I was so into that book. Later I bought a Kindle book on Amazon and read it.
The book teaches us to follow 3 principles in life. Do fewer things. Work at a natural pace. Obsess over quality.
You can find the book annotation and reviews on the internet. But below I want to share a couple of quotes I saved for myself.
Saved Quotes
Slow productivity supports legacy-building accomplishments but allows them to unfold at a more human speed.
Doing fewer things ends up producing more results.
Our brains work better when we’re not rushing.
Sometimes working slowly doesn't mean being productivity. Nope, it may even bring you to better achievements and results. So, don't rush!
I think that’s where the burnout really hurts—when you want to care about something but you’re removed from the capacity to do the thing or do it properly and give it your passion and full attention and creativity because you’re expected to do so many other things.
Try to focus on fewer things and them properly. Do step by step.
Why I liked that book
Sometimes everyone can feel stressed, burned out, having a depression and have lots of complicated thoughts about life overall. And that book may help you to slow down, take a breath find inspiration and recharge for the future.

I totally agree with this quote. A couple of times, my brain totally went mute and I couldn't comprehend anything because I was frantic and under pressure.
I ended up not completing the tasks at the due time and it was so frustrating.
I may have to look up the book. Thanks for sharing and do have an enjoyable new week.
