Greetings to all the Hive community 🐝!!!!
The first thing to know is that this infrastructure located between Montes de Oca Avenue and Carabobo Street in Valencia, Carabobo, Venezuela in its beginnings functioned as a convent of the Capuchin friars who are those who live the gospel and the lifestyle of St. Francis of Assisi, who was its founder. In 1880, during the Venezuelan government of Antonio Guzman Blanco, many of the existing convents in the country were closed and the building became First category of Carabobo School 👩🏫👨🏫.
In the government of the former Venezuelan president of Joaquin Crespo, it was confiscated and was transformed on November 15, 1892, as the headquarters of the University of Valencia, until in 1904 the university was closed so that only two universities would remain operating in Venezuela by presidential decree of Cipriano Castro (but no, it was not the only one that had closed because it also ceased its activities the University of Guayana and the University of Zulia) only 3 remained open; Universidad Central de Venezuela, Universidad Occidental and Universidad de Mérida. All this closure was done in order to reduce expenses and to maintain control over the few universities that were operating in Venezuela.
After 50 years of being closed, the building was restored and refurbished to be given to the University of Carabobo (UC) as the headquarters of the Law School. This very worthy building has participated of the very active academic life of this National University, being today the Paraninfo of the institution, which protects certain materials of historical nature of the infrastructure. <p<
The building inside mixes modernity with antiquity...you can see that the parainfo has a modern building while around it we see things from the colonial period.

It doesn't look old at all, it looks new and is in good condition. People did a great job to maintain it.
¡Me encantó!
