Hay funciones que son especiales para un artista y no necesariamente tienen que ver con fines lucrativos. Hay lugares donde el público, aunque sea poquito es bastante receptivo y dan ganas de hacer muchas cosas para garantizar un grato encuentro entre el artista y el público.
There are functions that are special for an artist and do not necessarily have to do with lucrative purposes. There are places where the public, even if only a little, is quite receptive and makes you want to do many things to guarantee a pleasant encounter between the artist and the public.
Hace unos días recibí la invitación de un amigo para realizar un show de circo que él quería obsequiar a su comunidad. Él no tiene nada que ver con algún ente político y esto no le iba a generar ningún tipo de recompensa financiera. Él solo quería que los niños disfrutaran de una tarde diferente. Todo completamente auto gestionado por el mismo. Le fue tan bien en todo el año que un regalo para él, era un regalo para los niños de su comunidad.
A few days ago I received an invitation from a friend to perform a circus show that he wanted to give to his community. He has nothing to do with any political entity and this was not going to generate any kind of financial reward. He just wanted the children to enjoy a different kind of afternoon. All completely self-managed by himself. He did so well throughout the year that a gift for him was a gift for the children.
El día de la función estaba muy ocupada, por lo que tuve que llegar corriendo y vestirme de manera veloz. Con la euforia que llegué, no me dio chance ni de organizar lo que iba a hacer ya que también estaría de presentadora. Pero la marea fluye con el público. Cuando el escenario es la calle, improvisar es el primer mandamiento. El público nunca es igual, hay veces que está muy animado y el trabajo del payaso se hace bastante ligero y simplemente todo lo que haces resulta. En cambio hay otras en las que el público es pesado y cuesta levantarlo. He ahí el verdadero reto del para el artista. Y es por esto que la improvisación juega un papel fundamental en el trabajo del animador. Lanzas herramientas, lo que no sirve, lo desechas y generas chistes o nuevo juegos. En este caso, todo fue maravilloso. Fue una hermosa función donde disfrutaron tanto niños como adultos. Sabes que has hecho las cosas bien porque los niños se quedan contigo hasta el final y luego se acercan para decirte lo mucho que les gustó el show. No hay verdad tan verdadera como esas palabras. No hay público más honesto que el infantil. También me ha pasado en caso contrario, que se quedan hasta el final para decir que no les gustó el show y que tantas cosas más que podría decir un niño. No está mal admitir el fracaso también.
The day of the show I was very busy, so I had to rush in and get dressed quickly. With the euphoria I got there, I didn't even have a chance to organize what I was going to do since I would also be the presenter. But the tide flows with the public. When the stage is the street, improvising is the first commandment. The public is never the same, there are times when it is very animated and the clown's work is quite light and simply everything you do works out. On the other hand, there are times when the audience is heavy and it is difficult to lift it. This is the real challenge for the artist. And that is why improvisation plays a fundamental role in the entertainer's work. You throw tools, what doesn't work, you discard it and generate jokes or new games. In this case, everything was wonderful. It was a beautiful show where both children and adults enjoyed themselves. You know you've done things right because the kids stay with you until the end and then come up to you to tell you how much they enjoyed the show. There is no truth as true as those words. There is no audience more honest than children. It has also happened to me in the opposite case, that they stay until the end to say they didn't like the show and so many more things a child could say. It's not wrong to admit failure too.
Ese día, me sentí particularmente feliz. A pesar de que no eran tantos niños que estaban por ahí, sus voces se hacían escuchar como el eco de una multitud y cada niño que veía a lo lejos se iba incorporando. Eso fue suficiente. Cuando trabajas para un público que no pagó para verte y por lo tanto no está obligado a quedarse es realmente grato mantener a las personas contigo hasta el final. Como artista lo único que piensas es en la evolución de tu trabajo y dan ganas de seguir haciendo lo que haces. Lo que más me gusta de la calle como escenario es que no sabes quién puede estar teniendo un mal día y por causas de la vida, coincide con algún artista. Es ahí donde ocurre la magia.
That day, I felt particularly happy. Even though there weren't that many children around, their voices were heard like the echo of a crowd and every child I saw in the distance was joining in. That was enough. When you work for an audience that didn't pay to see you and therefore is not obliged to stay it's really nice to keep people with you until the end. As an artist all you think about is the evolution of your work and it makes you want to keep doing what you do. What I like most about the street as a stage is that you don't know who might be having a bad day and for life's sake, coincides with an artist. That's where the magic happens.

Buenísimo, el arte de callejero es una profesión muy complicada, en mi opinión principalmente por ls cosas que mencionas, #1 la gente no pagó para estar ahí, y #2 hay que ser muy buen artista para improvisar, hay que tenerla muy clara.
Muy bonitos vestuario, me gustaría saber e qué país fué.
