RE: Hive Supply on Exchanges | Data on Deposits, Withdrawals by Date, Top Accounts | Feb 2025

uidxxxxxx accounts are used by scammers. They create an account using the user's exchange ID and ask them to transfer to their own exchange id.

Ok, thats something new for me. They ask users for funds?

They ask them to transfer hive to their own account UID on the exchange using their own memo. They promise that there is a promotion going on that gives them extra money or something. The user tries with a small amount first and they get back more than they sent out. The scammers use their memo and send them back small amounts to gain their trust. And of course whenever the amount goes up, nothing comes back from the scammers.

If you're ever in the Hive.io Telegram group, there are so many new victims turning up every day asking to 'unfreeze' their funds.
