Crazy. Btw do you have any info about how Splinterlands creates the accounts? Do they use account creation tokens or do they burn 3 hive?

Because they should run out of Account creation tokens at some point right? If account growth stays high it could be a significant source of burns

They make requests via a standard API that some whales make available for account creation to certain services. Those whales can and have run out of account tickets before with surges in new accounts.

IIRC, @yabapmatt said they were paying 3 Hive for the accounts, not using account credits.

Perhaps it has changed, when I looked at new accounts a few weeks ago they were being created with 'create claimed account' transactions.
