Saskatoon Island Sunset

Welcome to my first sunset Post!

I got a gorgeous panorama from a lake thats only a 15 minute drive from my house. This is one of my favourite places to watch the sunset. It's a provincial campground, but they have a lovely day use area and it's totally free to spend time there if you aren't camping. The gates are open year round, too!

This is definitely a small lake, and not a place I would ever swim. The leeches in the water will fight you until you get out, trust me on this.

Besides the leeches, this campground has a lot of tenting spots. It also has a beautiful walking trail that takes you through deer and bear territory. Actually, there are signs to carry bear spray, almost everywhere you go, in my city and along all our trails. It's important. We came across a baby black bear last summer and high tailed it out of there! Now that we have a little one, it's best not to find out what happens if mama bear notices us!

Until next sunset...
