Un paesaggio al tramonto

Today we talk a bit about landscape photography, another sector of photography that I like and that I had the opportunity to experiment with.
Landscape photography usually has as its main subject the nature, the scenarios, the views, but it can also focus on the photography of man-made and artificial landscapes, such as the city landscapes.
The photo I’m talking about today, I took it in a place surrounded by nature, at sunset on a beautiful spring day.
I chose to take this photo at sunset, because in my opinion it is the most beautiful and particular light to be reproduced in photography, the light is very soft, the rays of the sun draw the landscape, but above all there is a beautiful play of shadows, Elongated shadows, which in photographic jargon are called RADIAL SHADOWS.
A key feature of landscape photography is the depth of field, which is the area where objects are still in focus and sharp, even if the focus plane is only one.
The depth of field depends on the diaphragm that is set, if the diaphragm is very open for example we use an f2, our photo will appear very blurry and unclear, while if we use a more closed diaphragm from f8 up to a maximum of f22, Our photograph will look much sharper and more detailed.
For this photographic style is often used a very closed diaphragm, just to highlight every detail of the landscape you are photographing, so as to have a sharp and brilliant image.
The technique that I used in this photograph is HDR, which is obtained by taking multiple images at different light exposures, from the most underexposed to the most overexposed, which are then combined in post-production on Photoshop.
With this technique we get a very detailed file, full of lights and shadows, great to work on photo rich programs, in order to create your own photographic style.

I’ll leave my photo below! Let me know!
