Titans select Arkansas WR Treylon Burks in the first round of the NFL Draft at #18 - Burks was my #11 favorite player!

After writing up all those NFL Draft posts, the actual Draft itself did not give me much time to breathe whatsoever. But, I will catch up eventually. This stuff is fun! This draft is nuts so far!

With the trade of A.J., the Titans moved up eight positions, from selection #26, to selection #18. That's a pretty big move, honestly.

Right when the news dropped of the Titans trading A.J. Brown, it didn't take long to see what the Titans plan was. There was only about five minutes or so to stay fully in shock about A.J.

With their selection the Titans chose stud WR out of Arkansas, Treylon Burks!

Thanks to me grinding through a fair amount of these early prospects, I knew who Treylon was INSTANTLY. It felt really good knowing about prospects as they were announced all night.

The Titans' plan was to simply try and instantly replace A.J. with a receiver that has a very similar skillset as A.J.. Treylon Burks was being compared to A.J. Brown throughout the draft process by many different sports people. I remember reading about that comparison myself.

Frankly, I totally agree with the Treylon/A.J. comparison. Now, A.J. is special, so time will tell about how much they truly are similar, but I mean it seems like a darn good choice to me!!

Treylon and company reacting to being drafted!

I feel like my reaction was maybe different than a lot of other Titans fans. I wasn't outrageously angry. I loved A.J. man, he was the best receiver the Titans perhaps have ever had in terms of skill. He will be hard to replace.

But I guess it is a combination of me having optimism about Burks, and just always being pro Titans, I just did not panic about this situation of swapping A.J. and Treylon. These things happen with stars pretty often, stars are expensive.

Burks was my eleventh favorite player in the draft, and the Titans got him at eighteen. That's pretty solid to me. Plus the Titans got another pick out of the deal.

READ ABOUT MY THOUGHTS ABOUT TREYLON HERE!

Sucks A.J. is gone, but at least the Titans had an active plan.

I was a Titans fan before an A.J. fan. The guy is a MULTI-MILLIONAIRE. I think he'll be ok and have a fine career.

For now, until Burks proves himself or not, it's the Burks/Woods era at the WR position in Nashville.

Burks is bigger than A.J. and perhaps more versatile. A.J. and Burks are probably about similar in speed. A.J. MAY be more strong and a better route runner. Overall there are pros and cons but A LOT of similarities between these two.

Hopefully Burks is WAY better LOLOLOL. Feels wrong to say but it is what it is!

Burks's tape is INSANE man.

There's a lot of Titans Draft stuff I am behind on, but until then, welcome to Tennessee Treylon, and #Titanup
