The Titans return from their bye week and face the Indianapolis Colts tomorrow.

2024 has been an awkward, unfortunate season for the Titans. Will Levis has been playing like Carson Wentz-lite. The team in general has just been lackluster and sub-par and sit at 1-3.

The Titans are in such a weird position because Levis has not been the QB the Titans want, and their only win came two weeks ago with veteran backup Mason Rudolph at quarterback. Should the Titans ride it out with Levis to know once and for all if he can be the future QB? Some say Levis has a higher ceiling and if he does truly stink, we can draft a QB next year with a high draft pick. Playing Mason could lead the Titans into further mediocrity and keep the Titans in limbo longer. I guess it would be better to play Levis but man, it is going to be a long depressing season. It's basically a long winded way to say we are extremely extremely close to tanking. Also, tanking does not even always work!

The Titans just have to keep trucking along at this point. Gather more info about this roster.

The Titans face the Colts who are in an eerily similar situation. They have been in QB limbo for like a decade at this point. They have had scrappy seasons here and there but they have never really been a contender since Andrew Luck was around. In fact, things have gotten so convoluted in Indy that for the second year in a row now their backup QB is probably better than their starter Anthony Richardson. So strange. Richardson was injured again and didn't play last week and former Super Bowl winning QB Joe Flacco came in and had a great day passing in a narrow loss against the Jaguars.

So yeah I mean, overall the Colts and Titans are in very similar situations. Weird teams kind of in no man's land. The Colts appear better to be the better team in my opinion but I have noticed other people in the media world somehow giving the Titans a shot? This sort of surprises me.

It seems the Titans are sticking with Levis tomorrow. Yippee. Meanwhile for the Colts it is very unclear who they are going to send out to start at QB. Pretty obviously on purpose so the Titans don't know who to prepare for.

I think the Titans should just go back and play very old school fundamental football and stop expecting Levis to be a playmaker. At least for now. Levis could still make more dumb decisions but, this is still the safer choice at this point especially if he is still healing from his injury. Maybe Levis learned something from watching Mason manage the game two weeks ago.

The Colts defense does not look all that great. Just lean on our two solid running backs in Pollard and Spears and hope for the best.

The Titans can win but it will surely be close if they do. The Titans schedule only gets tougher so let's just try and get winnable games while we can. There may not be many more victories this year to begin with.

Maybe the Titans will prove me wrong, play well and restore a bit of confidence in this dang team....

A win over the Colts ALWAYS feels good, no matter how odd the circumstances may be.

#TITANUP!!!
