Desde temprano, me desperté con la idea de crear un mandala, un símbolo que representa el universo y la armonía; en este caso, específicamente, mi representación es a la naturaleza. Decidí trabajar en un diseño sencillo para demostrar lo fácil y gratificante que puede ser crear estos gráficos. A menudo, se piensa que los mandalas se limitan a círculos, pero como mencioné en una de mis entregas anteriores, podemos dibujar cualquier forma y dentro de ella trazar líneas en diversas direcciones. La clave está en dejar volar nuestra creatividad y encontrar satisfacción en dar lo mejor de nosotros en cada trazo, sin preocuparnos por la perfección desde el inicio. Con la práctica, nuestras habilidades mejorarán y nuestros mandalas serán más precisos.
Early on, I woke up with the idea of creating a mandala, a symbol that represents the universe and harmony; in this case, specifically, my representation is of nature. I decided to work on a simple design to demonstrate how easy and rewarding it can be to create these graphics. Mandalas are often thought to be limited to circles, but as I mentioned in one of my previous installments, we can draw any shape and within it draw lines in various directions. The key is to let our creativity fly and find satisfaction in giving the best of ourselves in each stroke, without worrying about perfection from the beginning. With practice, our skills will improve and our mandalas will become more precise.

Hoy, quiero compartir con ustedes un mandala en forma de flor, donde cada pétalo es diferente en color y diseño. Mi objetivo es mostrarles que podemos integrar el concepto de mandala en cualquier dibujo, y que cada obra es única y especial. Espero que este ejercicio de creatividad les inspire y les brinde satisfacción, recordando siempre que lo más importante es disfrutar el proceso y el amor que ponemos en cada trabajo.
Today, I want to share with you a mandala in the shape of a flower, where each petal is different in color and design. My goal is to show you that we can integrate the concept of mandala in any drawing, and that each work is unique and special. I hope this exercise of creativity inspires you and gives you satisfaction, always remembering that the most important thing is to enjoy the process and the love we put in each work.

Proceso/Process
Iniciamos dibujando con el bolígrafo la figura de la flor en el centro de la hoja, tratando de que los pétalos queden lo más parecido posible, tanto en tamaño como en forma.
We start by drawing with the pen the figure of the flower in the center of the leaf, trying to make the petals as similar as possible, both in size and shape.
Pasamos a trabajar con los colores antes de crear los trazos elegidos para los pétalos; en esta parte es importante tomar en cuenta que los tonos de colores a usar no deben ser tan oscuros porque luego las líneas que van sobre estos no se ven.
We move on to work with the colors before creating the strokes chosen for the petals; in this part it is important to take into account that the shades of colors to be used should not be too dark because the lines that go over them will not be seen.
Aquí comencé a trabajar en el pétalo de color amarillo, donde trace en la parte inferior y más delgada, la parte central de una flor y sobre ella cinco pétalos con líneas y puntos en cada uno de ellos. Los espacios que quedaron vacíos los rellené con el bolígrafo. Como pueden ver dentro de este pétalo, acabo de crear parte de una flor.
Here I started working on the yellow petal, where I traced on the lower and thinner part, the central part of a flower and on it five petals with lines and dots on each of them. I filled in the empty spaces with the pen. As you can see inside this petal, I just created part of a flower.
En el pétalo de color naranja, trace la forma de una flor de grandes pétalos muy abiertos y dentro de ellos líneas curvas y puntos; en los espacios vacíos, rellene con el bolígrafo para resaltar los pétalos recién elaborados.
On the orange petal, trace the shape of a flower with large, wide-open petals and inside them curved lines and dots; in the empty spaces, fill in with the pen to highlight the newly made petals.
En este pétalo quise trazar pequeños botones de flores, así que con mi bolígrafo lo que hice fue dibujar inicialmente una C bastante curva y encima de ella muchas más, por supuesto los espacios vacíos como en los otros pétalos, también los rellené de negro.
On this petal I wanted to trace small flower buds, so with my pen what I did was to draw initially a rather curved C and on top of it many more, of course the empty spaces as in the other petals, I also filled them with black.
Aquí se me ocurrió crear simplemente líneas curvas en la mitad del pétalo y en la otra mitad líneas un poco más rectas, dejando un espacio entre ambas mitades donde realice pequeñas C.
Here it occurred to me to simply create curved lines on one half of the petal and slightly straighter lines on the other half, leaving a space between the two halves where I made small C's.
En esta parte voy a explicar los últimos dos pétalos, iniciando por el de color verde agua, donde hice un diseño muy sencillo de muchos pétalos y puntos. En el pétalo, de color verde, trace unas hojas arqueadas con líneas y puntos dentro de cada una.
In this part I am going to explain the last two petals, starting with the aqua green one, where I made a very simple design of many petals and dots. On the green petal, I traced some arched leaves with lines and dots inside each one.
