Hello, Hive artists! Today I come with one more tutorial for the list. This time we will talk about perspective and depth in drawing and as a first lesson, I will show you how to repeat the same figure following those parameters. I hope you like it a lot, I leave you with the explanation:
The first thing we will do is draw a horizontal line, then mark two vanishing points and from there draw two lines of the size we want with the separation we want. After we have a figure, we are going to make a cross to find the center.
It should look something like this:
Once we have that center, with a colored pencil preferably to be able to distinguish it, we draw a line just in the center of the X. After we have the colored line, we locate the point to make the next figure and on each point that is on the colored line we made, we will add a line of another color and we will see how little by little that same figure that we had in the beginning will be getting smaller, but proportionally to the vanishing point that we made at the beginning.
You can repeat the previous process until it is very small and you can't see it. The objective of this exercise is that, if you want to take this to buildings for example, the idea is that they all look the same and with depth. It should look something like this:
Now let's put this into practice and make a drawing:
Let's start by making a horizontal line that will serve as a guide to make some mountains. We will make a kind of landscape and to put into practice what we have learned, we will make a fence with logs and wires.
We draw the first trunk and add the three lines as I explained above: one below, one in the middle and one above. After that, we draw the next log at the distance we want from the first one, but, based on the distance between those two logs, we are going to repeat it several times until we reach the other vanishing point.
Then, we do exactly the same thing again: from the second trunk we draw a diagonal and right in the center where there is an intersection, we make a point and draw the next trunk.
This process will be repeated over and over again and we will see how we will be provided, everything will have a sense and we will not have to place them randomly. This exercise is very useful if for example we want to make some train tracks.
The idea of this, is to practice it as much as possible, do it in all directions, from right to left, from bottom to top; shape it as we want and with the examples we want. We can draw from cars to people, it's just a matter of doing several exercises to loosen the hand and that's it!
I hope you liked the tutorial, I'll be back with more very soon!
Thanks for reading and watching.
Wow esta clase esta muy buena. A mi me gusta mucho pintar y no de hacer muchas cosas.
Gracias 🍰

Me gustó mucho, una de las cosas que más se me dificultan es las proporciones y perspectivas. ¿Podrías hacer un video? Quedaría incluso más claro :3
Hola, gracias por tu observación. En este momento no cuento con celular, por eso se me dificulta.
