Buenas tardes, amigos de Hive Arte, espero que se encuentren genial este viernes. Les traigo otra publicación para seguir destrabando la creatividad, de aquí saldrán disparadores, ideas, y quizás sirvan como primera creación de ideas, para una composición más grande luego, aquí vamos!

The idea is to start making stains, mixing colors and flowing, without thinking too much, because we are going to exercise speed and discovery, not planning, this way we will always be able to re-create, invent our own rules. This post is going to be full of TIPS, and here is the first one: try to make different stains from each other, to exercise the discovery. If we do all elongated shapes, you won't be so surprised to discover what they resemble.

La idea es comenzar haciendo manchas, mezclando colores y fluyendo, sin pensar demasiado, porque vamos a ejercitar la velocidad y el descubrimiento, no la planificación, de esta manera siempre podremos volver a crear, inventar nuestras propias reglas. Este post va a estar lleno de TIPS, y aquí va el primero: procura realizar manchas distintas entre sí, para ejercitar luego el descubrimiento. Si hacemos todas formas alargadas, no tendrá tanta sorpresa al descubrir a qué se asemejan.

Once you have a full sheet of stains, wait for it to dry, and now the second TIP: turn the sheet around, change direction, looking for shapes in your stains. You can look for eyes, faces to everything, or also silhouettes, animal shapes, you can adjust to draw on the stain what you are invited to do, but as a good requirement, we will try not to outline on the contour of our stain, that way it will look like it is a colored drawing and not the other way around.

Una vez que tengas la hoja completa de manchas, esperaremos a que se seque, y ahora el segundo TIP: da vueltas la hoja, cambia de sentido, buscando formas en tus manchas. Puedes buscarle ojos, caras a todo, o también siluetas, formas de animales, puedes ajustarte a dibujar sobre la mancha lo que te invite a hacer, pero como un buen requisito, intentaremos no hacer delineado sobre el contorno de nuestra mancha, de ese modo parecerá que es un dibujo coloreado y no al revés.

This is the only case that I took pictures during the whole process and separated it from the rest, so that it could be understood. The good thing is that the shape of the stain is reusable, that is to say that if I see another idea now, I can capture it on a blank paper, as if I were making a second version of this same trigger. I think that makes this exercise a good starting point.

Este es el único caso que le saqué fotos durante todo el proceso y lo separé del resto, para que pudiera entenderse. Lo bueno es que la forma de la mancha es reutilizable, es decir que si ahora veo otra idea, puedo plasmarla en un papel en blanco, como si fuese hacer una segunda versión de este mismo disparador. Creo que eso hace de este ejercicio un buen punto de partida.

Just like last week's doodles, this exercise invites us to clear, to work fast, to get the hand and the eye used to it and to be able to improvise from there. Imagine that you decide to make a series of animals, you make many spots, double or triple what I did today, and you discover that the figures invite you to make a series, suppose you first use different colors and then the best ones you decide to develop, well, there you have a first great idea about a series that you can work on and deepen.

Así como los garabatos de la semana pasada, este ejercicio nos invita a despejar, a trabajar rápido, acostumbrar la mano y la vista y poder improvisar desde allí. Imagina que decides hacer una serie de animales, haces muchas manchas, el doble o triple de lo que hice yo hoy, y descubres que las figuras te invitan a hacer una serie, supón que primero usas distintos colores y luego los mejores decides desarrollarlos, bueno, pues ahí tienes una primera gran idea sobre una serie que puedes trabajar y profundizar.

When you advance in the details and turning on the sheet, you will see which ones you like the most, that is to say, with some I did not feel very comfortable, it was hard to see a form, I invented a little and I also think that I could try to improve that drawing, without wanting to improve the one that is already done. Seeing this exercise as a beginning and not as an end in itself, allows us to make mistakes many times, because it sharpens our eye, as I usually say.

Cuando vas avanzando en los detalles y girando en la hoja, ya verás cuales son los que más te vayan gustando, es decir, con algunos no me sentí muy cómoda, me costó verles una forma, inventé un poco y también pienso que podría intentar mejorar ese dibujo, sin querer mejorar el que ya está hecho. Ver este ejercicio como comienzo y no como un fin en sí mismo, nos permite la equivocación muchas veces, porque nos afina el ojo, como suelo decir.

As expected, for me the exercise does not end there, I selected the ones I liked the most and laminated them, I also made cut-outs of all of them and some I will use them to mark my pages in books, but others will decorate the walls and my spaces. Besides, I can reinvent the exercise many times.

Como es de esperarse, para mi el ejercicio no termina ahí, seleccioné los que más me gustaron y los plastifiqué, igualmente hice recortes en todos ellos y algunos los usaré para marcar mis páginas en libros, pero otros decorarán las paredes y mis espacios. Además puedo reinventar el ejercicio muchas veces.

Examples of things you can change or try to do with this exercise:

You can use only two or three colors and make all the spots with them, to give them unification.

You can choose a type of images to look for, as I mentioned before, it can be animals, faces, things around the house, etc, choose your favorite theme!

Ejemplos de cosas que puedes cambiar o probar hacer con este ejercicio:

Puedes usar solo dos o tres colores y hacer todas las manchas con ellos, para darles unificación.

Puedes escoger un tipo de imágenes a buscar, como ya nombré antes, pueden ser animales, rostros, cosas de la casa, etc, elige tu temática preferida!

You can go forward from this point and do it again once you have already chosen a face or trigger. In my case the gentleman's face was the most pleasing, the one I liked the most, and I would like to do this type of stain again, so I would intentionally make them look like that, or specifically look to draw faces, mustaches, etc.

Puedes avanzar desde este punto y volver a hacerlo una vez que ya hayas elegido un rostro o disparador. En mi caso el rostro del señor fue el más agradable, el que más me gustó, y quisiera volver a hacer este tipo de manchas, entonces sí las haría intencionalmente que parezcan así, o buscar específicamente dibujar rostros, bigotes, etc.

Trying to give details and characteristics, even if they are not common to us, opens up a range of possibilities. I for my part would not say that I know how to draw a face with whiskers, however starting from this spot I could replicate it without much difficulty and it would be perfectly understood.

Tratar de dar detalles y características, aunque no sean comunes para nosotros, nos abre un abanico de posibilidades. Yo por mi parte no diría que sé dibujar un rostro con bigotes, sin embargo partiendo de esta mancha podría sin mayor dificultad replicarla y se entendería perfectamente.

It is important not to set limits, the faster and without thinking, the better. When we draw without thinking and without requirements to fulfill we discover those qualities that we don't know we have, so I invite you to discover yourself creating and discovering shapes!
