Greetings, my dear Hive Arte community, if I'm still alive hehe. For this opportunity I want to share with you an illustration that I had been thinking about creating for a long, long time.
Personally I admire desire's way of being and she is a great friend, I hope you like it.
Well let's talk a little bit about the drawing, it's not the first time I present an anime version portrait, but it's the first time I feel I'm faithful to the reference, and really expressing what I was looking for in the work.
Obviously, it won't be a copy of the photo, because that wouldn't have any artistic merit, would it? "Maybe it's debate for another opportunity".
Well... let's get to work!

Saludos, mi estimada comunidad de Hive Arte, si aún sigo con vida jeje. Para esta oportunidad quiero compartirles una ilustración que tenía mucho muchísimo tiempo pensando en crear.
En lo personal admiro mucho la forma de ser de desire y es una gran amiga, espero le guste.
Bien hablemos un poco del dibujo, no es la primera vez que presento un retrato versión anime, pero si es la primera vez que siento que le soy fiel a la referencia, y expresando realmente lo que buscaba en la obra.
Obviamente, no será una copia de la foto, pues eso no tendría nada de mérito artístico o si? "Tal vez sea debate para otra oportunidad".

Un retrato versión animé de nuestra compañera @desireeart "no pedí permiso antes o se fuera arruinando la sorpresa".

We start
As usual "in my way of drawing" we start with the sketch a couple of circles to guide the basic shape of the head before adding details.
Como es costumbre "en mi forma de dibujar" iniciamos con el boceto un par de círculos para guiar la forma básica de la cabeza antes de agregar detalles
I must confess that my favorite part of the drawing is the curly hair, even though this is only the sketch I tried to give it a little more detail so as not to lose the idea of how I wanted it to look.
Debo confesar que mi parte favorita del dibujo es el cabello rizado, a pesar de que este solo es el boceto, trate de darle un poco mas de detalles para no perder la idea de como quería que se viera.
After correcting a couple of details this is the finished sketch in blue color, I do this to differentiate when drawing the final lineart.
después de corregir un par de detalles este es el boceto terminado en color azul, esto lo hago para diferenciar al momento de dibujar el lineart definitivo
It's time to create the final lineart, for this I lower the opacity of the sketch layer to about 41%, usually I don't have a fixed number I always lower it and where it looks good I leave it.
Es momento de crear el lineart definitivo, para ello baje la opacidad de la capa del boceto a unos 41%, por lo general no tengo un número fijo siempre lo bajo y donde se vea bien lo dejo.
This step only takes time, little by little it takes the final shape.
Este paso solo requiere tiempo, poco a poco va tomando la forma definitiva.
Here we can see the finished lineart, we can erase the blue lines layer, that is the sketch.
Aqui podemos apreciar el lineart terminado, ya podemos borrar la capa de líneas azul, o sea el boceto.
I don't usually leave the colors I will use on the canvas, but I want to get into that habit, I feel it makes it easier for me to maintain a certain color palette.
No acostumbro a dejar los colores que usaré sobre el lienzo, pero quiero tomar esa costumbre, siento que me facilita el mantener cierta paleta de colores.
With the lines finished we apply the base color, each color has a different layer, this can be an advantage or disadvantage depending on the style and what you want to achieve in the drawing, for this drawing I will do it that way.
Con las líneas terminadas aplicamos el color base, cada color tiene una capa diferente, esto puede ser una ventaja o desventaja dependiendo el estilo y lo que busques lograr en el dibujo, para este dibujo lo haré de esa forma.
It's time to apply the shadows, with a "hard" brush we apply the solid shadow, to tell the truth I like how it looks, but I already had the idea of making soft shadows. for that we blur when we finish applying.
Es momento de aplicar las sombras, con un pincel "duro" aplicamos la sombra sólida, a decir verdad me gusta como se ve, pero ya tenía la idea de hacer sombras suaves. Para eso difuminamos al terminar de aplicar.
In the same way we apply some light, this step does not have a fixed order, as I usually correct a lot depending on whether or not I am satisfied with the results.
De igual forma aplicamos un poco de luz, este paso no tiene un orden fijo, ya que suelo corregir mucho dependiendo si estoy o no conforme con los resultados
We continue applying color, her eyes are notoriously brown almost light. Or so I interpret it hehe.
Seguimos aplicando color, sus ojos son notoriamente marrón casi claro. O así lo interpreto yo jeje.
On the visible clothing I wanted to apply besides the shadow some texture a little subtle, this step is similar to the face. oh wait I forgot to mention that on the face I added the detail of the freckles they look beautiful right? :)
En la ropa visible quise aplicar aparte de la sombra algo de textura un poco sutil, este paso es similar al rostro. oh espera olvide mencionar que en el rostro agregue el detalle de las pecas se ven hermosas cierto? :)
We continue with the eyes and give all the details until we finish, I also apply a little more darkness in the eyebrows and other details.
No es desorden, yo dibujo asi.
Seguimos con los ojos y damos todos los detalles hasta terminar, también aplique un poco más de oscuridad en las cejas y otros detalles.
This is my favorite part of the drawing and the one that arguably took me the most time and detail.
Esta es mi parte favorita del dibujo y la que se podría decir que me tomo algo más de tiempo y detalle
We apply a soft shading before detailing the hair curls.
Aplicamos un sombreado suave antes de dar detalles a los rizos del cabello
This step has no great mystery, but it requires a lot of patience, after a while this is the result.
Este paso no tiene gran misterio, más si requiere mucha paciencia, después de un rato este es el resultado.
Well, let's compare with the reference image, it's not a copy and I love that!
Bien, comparemos con la imagen de referencia, no es una copia y amo eso!
Before finishing we correct some shadow areas, always at this point is when I see the areas where more darkness is needed. We also apply a background for the whole drawing and give a little more logic to the light source.
Antes de terminar corregimos algunas zonas de sombra, siempre en este punto es cuando veo las zonas donde más oscuridad necesita. También aplicamos un fondo para todo el dibujo y darle un poco más de lógica a la fuente de luz.
Here is the final result.
I really loved the result and I feel that I improved a lot from my other illustrations.
