While I'm away the last little while and during our Xmas break, I've been playing some extra Fortnite with @landonator in the evenings. We're both leveled up quite a bit this season. @landonator is up over level 130 and I'm just closing in on level 94 to collect the last character in the season. So, we've both played quite a few games since just before Xmas. Tis the season since it's cold rainy and no snow the last little while in the valley.

We were messing around in creative mode this evening, but I convinced @landonator for one last Battle Royal before he shut it down for the night. I needed one more quest completed to unlock Gerald from The Witcher.

It ended up being one of the most action packed games we've played this season.

Right from the drop in there was a number of kills with minimal weaponry. I just had time to grab a sub-machine gun and a shotgun with only 20 shells before the shootouts began.

This first one ended up walking right in front of me while I was shooting at the two in the background.

I'll take it.

Then another ended up coming up the stairs in the same spot.

What are the odds?

This guy had a starter character so maybe he didn't stand a chance even if he could have found a weapon.

There was a bit of a game of chase under these stairs, but this player was no match for me and @landonator opening up on them.

Then we turned our attention to this guy still on the stairs across from us from my first kill. What was he still doing there?

And another one trying to make a getaway.

Phew! 5 Kills without having a chance to grab any decent weapons. We fixed that after raising this flag and getting a rare sniper rifle and shotgun.

Another two players came at us once we had a chance to resupply and sort our equipment out.

No match for us though.

I hit the bounty for a chance to complete Gerald's Quests. I had completed everything else, I just needed to get one more bounty to complete them all and unlock the Gerald character. This was the whole point of this battle was to try and complete this bounty.

I find bounties a little trickier than other quests to complete. There always seems to be another player that gets in the way before you can complete is. Or the bounty has some good weapons and just takes you out.

We traveled for a bit and we found the treasure piñata. We decided to follow it, collecting some ammo it was dropping, and use the teleport to get up the mountain.

It worked!

We teleported up high and I flew down on top of one of the castle towers for a good view. Now that I had a good sniper rifle, why not?

Got that guy as he was trying to use one of those super power orbs. Nine times out of ten, that's the end for me if they spot me with one of those.

For some reason my body disappeared when I took that shot. Just a gun and a shadow on the rooftop.

Popped that guys balloons right after from the same vantage point.

And, it turns out that guy was the bounty I had activated earlier. So this mission was a success from here on out.

Knocked that guy off the cliff. He eventually died but I had to make a quick getaway as some person was shooting at me from above on a mountain top.

People were just popping up everywhere and me and @landonator where just putting them away, one after the other.

Got me good there with the hammer, though. Blasted me right off the edge of the mountain and I nearly died. I took cover behind a rock once I floated to the bottom of the mountain and recovered my health.

Then the same person ended up getting @landonator just before he was able to unleash his power attack. Too bad I was knocked away and couldn't save him. I was able to run in and grab his respawn card thing and get rid of the other player, but we were pretty near the end of the game at this point so no chance to respawn him.
