Marcus tried to smile and brought his hand forward to place it on one side of Adrian's face, assuring him that his worries would be put to rest soon.
That night, the vampire and the mermaid went to the city and tricked ignorant and evil people and played with them and finally hunted them and hid their bodies in garbage cans and under bridges and when they were crossing the street, suddenly a truck whose driver had a stroke, left its path and came towards them.
Marcus, an older and more powerful supernatural being than his friends, tried to react and push Ethan and Adrian away from the truck's range, but failed and the truck ran over all three of them. The sound of their bones breaking was mixed with the sound of their pained screams, and then darkness covered everything.
When Marcus opened his eyes, he saw himself lying on a hospital bed with his hand tied to the edge of the bed and a female nurse sitting next to him.
"My friends... where are they, how are they?"
The nurse gave a crooked smile.
"Don't worry, that vampire and that mermaid are fine. They've been taken for tests."
Marcus looked into the nurse's eyes and realized that she was telling the truth, and when he was relieved about Ethan and Adrian's health, he realized what a big problem they had. They inadvertently revealed the secret of the existence of supernatural beings and were also arrested by humans.
The nurse saw the pale face of Marcus and said:
"Don't worry. No one knows your secret except the doctor and I, and we don't intend to tell anyone. It will be a problem for both your races and us, and as for the bracelets, once we're sure you're not a threat to us, we will open them."
Marcus breathed a sigh of relief and vowed to himself to protect Adrian and Ethan with all his might instead of worrying from now on.

دو خون آشام و یک پری دریایی: قسمت آخر
مارکوس سعی کرد لبخند بزند و دستش را جلو آورد و آن را روی یک طرف صورت آدریان گذاشت و به او اطمینان داد به زودی نگرانی هایش برطرف خواهد شد.
آن شب خون آشام ها و پری دریایی به شهر رفتند و انسان های ناآگاه و شرور را فریب دادند و با آن ها بازی و در نهایت شکارشان کردند و اجساد آن ها را در سطل های زباله و زیر پل ها پنهان کردند و زمانی که داشتند از خیابان رد می شدند، ناگهان یک کامیون که راننده اش سکته کرده بود، از مسیر خود خارج شد و به سمتشان آمد.
مارکوس که یک موجود مافوق طبیعی مسن تر و قدرتمندتر از دوستانش بود، سعی کرد عکس العمل نشان بدهد و اتان و آدریان را از تیررس کامیون دور کند، ولی موفق نشد و کامیون از روی هر سه شان رد شد. صدای شکستن استخوان هایشان با صدای فریادهای دردآلودشان ترکیب شد و بعد سیاهی همه جا را فرا گرفت.
مارکوس وقتی چشمانش را باز کرد، خودش را دید که بر روی تخت بیمارستان دراز کشیده و دستش به لبه ی تخت بسته شده و یک پرستار زن کنارش نشسته.
"دوستانم... آن ها کجا هستند، حالشان چه طور است؟"
پرستار لبخندی اریب زد.
"نگران نباش، حال آن خون آشام و آن پری دریایی خوب است. آن ها را برای انجام آزمایشات برده اند."
مارکوس به چشمان پرستار نگاه کرد و فهمید او واقعیت را می گوید و وقتی خیالش از بابت سلامتی اتان و آدریان راحت شد، تازه فهمید چه مشکل بزرگی برایشان پیش آمده. آن ها ناخواسته راز وجود موجودات مافوق طبیعی را لو داده و از طرفی انسان ها دستگیرشان کرده بودند.
پرستار رنگ پریدگی چهره ی مارکوس را دید و گفت:
"نگران نباش. جز من و خانم دکتر کسی راز شما را نفهمیده و ما تصمیم نداریم آن را به کسی بگوییم. این مساله هم برای نژادهای شما و هم ما دردسرساز خواهد بود و در مورد دستبندها، وقتی مطمئن شویم خطری از جانب شما تهدیدمان نمی کند، آن ها را باز خواهیم کرد."
مارکوس نفس راحتی کشید و با خودش عهد کرد از این پس به جای نگران بودن با تمام توانش از آدریان و اتان محافظت کند.
