What Would the @ssg-community Do 🤔
Well folks, it seems I have a decision to make. I recently sold one of the 1oz Gold Libertads I had, not my 2018 Reverse Proof so no worries there.
The Gold Libertads have a nice little premium that goes along with them so I figured I'd turn it around and get another oz of gold with the money from the sell.
I know the market is fluctuating like crazy right now but I'm not too concerned because I usually buy no matter what.
I guess my dilemma is whether to buy a 1oz American Gold Eagle or a 1oz Amerian Gold Buffalo. I'm partial to both but I lean towards the Buffalos because of the 24k aspect of it and I think they look nicer. One of the reasons I'm asking is because I already have a 2020 American Gold Buffalo and I don't have a 2020 American Gold Eagle.
Either way I go I know I'll be happy, I just wanted to get some input from you all to see what your reasons are...
My goal for 2019 was to fill a box of 25 1oz American Gold Eagles and/or 1oz American Gold Buffalos. I was on track to do so but I discovered how pretty the 1oz Gold Libertads were and bought a few. Shortly after that, I discovered my love for Pre-33 Gold.
I bet you can guess what goal I did not complete... 😂

As gold is simply gold, my choice is the Buffalo for two reasons:
a) 99.99% purity against 91.67%
b)Looking at the NGC site, the Buffalo price in MS-68 is slightly less than the Eagle's price.
So, I would have more gold for less fiat.

From my understanding the AGE and AGB both contain 1 full ounce of gold.
I will do a post that shows the weight of the 1oz AGE vs the weight of the AGB.
The AGB will weight 31.1g and the AGE will be a little more at 33.9g.
Damn, now I have to take them out of the plastic holders 😂

If you have the 2020 Gold Buffalo, well you need to have the 2020 AGE too, hehehe. I have the first-year issue Gold Buffalo proof. I am partial to the Gold Buffalo because of its .9999 purity, vs the AGE which is .9167 .
But whatever you choose, it will be EPIC, @anchormetals.

The first year issue would be an awesome addition to the stash.
I sold all my graded AGEs and Buffalos. I personally like the way they stack in these containers.
All my Pre-33 is graded though 😁

I got enough Maple Leafs, Britannia, a few Perth gold so my next gold coin will have to be a US gold for sure. There's no way to save for a 1 oz. Unless the Coinstar gods bless me big time.
