While I normally stack for weight, I also buy pieces that are beautiful and likely to appreciate in value in the future. To appreciate in value, they typically have to be low mintage. This coin checks all the right boxes!
Before we get too far into this post, I spun the wheel for yesterday's Freaky Friday contest. We had three entries:
@gwajnberg
@bitcoinman
@daddydog
And our winner is @daddydog!
This means 100% of this post's rewards go to @daddydog for being the winner of yesterday's Freaky Friday Contest! So upvote the heck out of this post! 😁

I'm a sucker for ships. What could be cooler than a Viking ship?
An ultra-high relief Viking ship! This sticks up so much that it comes in a custom air tite because the coin doesn't sit flat! 😁
Reverse(Source)
On the back, we have the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, with the date stamped at the bottom.
Specifications
Grade: Proof
Weight: 2 Troy Oz
Purity: .999
Diameter: 38.6 mm
Mintage: 999
The coin retails for around $180-230, which isn't surprising considering the uniqueness of the coin and being limited to only 999 pieces produced for 2022. I got a deal on it and paid a little less at $169.95. If you have a chance to pick one up, this is a great showpiece.
Each month, I give away a $1 Goldback or 4 HBD. The winner gets to choose.
Note: Some countries may have prohibitively expensive shipping or delivery, which may not be feasible. I reserve the right to award the winner 4 HBD instead of a Goldback at my discretion.
Not sure what a goldback is? Click here to find out more about them.

This is my favorite coin. I've been considering converting it into a pendant. Though I feel that maybe an ounce coin hanging off my chain might be over kill. What you think? I've always stacked for weight yet I've been also been buying a few individual coins intentionally. Yet the idea of having to sell the collectables individually because if their unique values seems tedious. I try not to sell but in the past I've run into situations were I need to move some silver too get out of a pinch.
I wouldn't convert it into a pendant unless you don't mind it tarnishing. Otherwise, I'd keep it in the capsule and enjoy it and convert another coin into a pendant. I used to have a 1oz coin on a pendant but got tired of polishing it to remove the tarnish.
The collectibles I stack because as they appreciate in value, I can sell them and convert the profit to gold. For emergencies, I have my regular bullion I can liquidate in a hurry.
That is true. It would tarnish. I just wasn't sure if it would get tedious having it around my neck lol. But I could buy another one, to hold as a collectable. I mean yeah I'd lose the collectable value but I thought it would be fun. Mainly cause you don't see many monsters inc. Unwise, probably but just a silly thought.
If you have a second one to keep nice, then go for it. You get used to the weight over time.
Also I always felt that scrooge McDuck was the perfect character to have on a silver coin. Though technically the gold would have been the best choice.
I like the Viking Ship, but very curious about the Coins Face Value...
It's denominated as one "Noble" in Isle of Man's currency.
One Noble on a 2 ounce Silver Coin, doesn't make any sense to me...
None of the denominations they put on any of the gold and silver coins really make any sense when the melt value is multiples greater than the face value.
I figure the Central Bank Owners are behind all our Mistakes... I think their "Motto" must be "Keep them Confused"... I had to rethink all our Silver and Gold Coins...
Nice one.
Congratulations to the winner.
Thanks so much! I'm sure they'll enjoy the rewards. 😁
You are welcome.
I am sure they will.
Different ship i liked it
Thanks! 😁
That's a really beautiful coin and comes with a nice display and it's a 2 ozers I got a thing for those 🤣 !BBH !PIMP
Thanks! Yeah, the 2ozers I think are the sweet spot. You have plenty of room for design and details but it doesn't feel like a hockey puck. 😆
I just like thick coins 😂 !BBH hope to land something really thick eventually maybe 5 oz but only slightly bigger diameter
You need to get yourself a 5oz Reverse Proof Libertad. 😉
Why, is it thick? I need me a stubby man 🤣 !BBH
They're decently thick. They're listed as being 5.4mm thick.

I regret missing out on this Pobjoy mint beauty.
You can still find them online for not a lot more than when they were first released.
