I know that my photos are shit. For this post I tried something new and most likely won't do it again. I have an app on my phone that Ive been trying out called CoinSnap. It helps identify coins and then provides characteristics nad notes on them. It also lets you build an album of them. These photos came from that album. So I am not sure if the original shot was crap or the quality of images the app creates is crap. Guess I need to check the few others I have in the album later and see.
Anyway, this is the only coin from Preu I own. I picked it up off eBay after reading Kitty's post and seeing hers. She had me hooked on it and I started shopping right away. Now that it is in my collection I am happy it is there and I was able to learn about it through her post. I have done this often since joining the SGS. There has been a few times that I have read a post with a coin, round or bar that catches my eye. When I do, it is shopping I go. Off to sites like HiBid, Monument Metals etc...
In the end, I enjoy a great deal from the SGS about stacking and collecting. Most of all I enjoy what I learn about stacking and collecting from the old hats. Even though I have been collecting on and off for years, it has only been as an almost lackadaisical hobbiest. As I hang around this group online, I am getting smarter about how I stack and collect, but still within my budget. BUt most of all I still do it and have fun.

It does have a good silver content. However, it goes into my collection instead of my stack. Maybe if I get one in better condition someday I will take this one and add it to the stack. Anyways, thanks for prompting me to pull the trigger. 😀
That looks pretty good for an 1867. I love this particular coin and have several in my collection of South American coins. The design really is one of my favorites out the region, they just don't make coins pretty like that anymore!

I get most of mine from the online coin dealer I shop with. They send me a section every month and I’ll send back what I don’t want and pay for what I keep.

unfortunately no, sot hat is why it is kinda hard to buy some. maybe I will look at the online e-commerce, maybe I can find some old or silver coin.
I remember seeing posts about this coin as well and digging to see if I could find one here locally but it was very expensive compared to the prices I saw abroad. But now I'm going to check again as I loved it too!
