The “Killer Whale” a real beauty of a stamp, followed by the “lynx”, and then the “Beaver”. All Canadian mammals, from large to small. These ones were issued back in 1988. In general, my favourite Canadian stamps are ones that depict animals and landscapes. These aren’t worth much more than their face value really. I don’t collect stamps to get rich lol. Pretty much has to be pre 1950 to be worth anything, unlike precious metals.
Speaking of precious metals, today I am show casing a 1 oz bar from the famous Sunshine mint. It is quite a pretty one actually. When you first look at it, it almost feels like you have more than 1 oz there, but as the stamp indicates, 1 ounce it is. Thanks for stopping by.

I have a niece that adores Orcas, I go out of the way to find silver coins with her collecting theme so this is how I get other family members to stack silver.

This silver round is old vintage mid 80s, sold at the souvenir section of the Vancouver public aquarium. This would match nice with the stamp. Last Christmas I put this silver at the bottom of a box full of silver rounds and coins and let her choose ONE! She found it in under a minute. !LOL

Smart auntie. I'll have to use some of these same tactics in my own hood.
The one that has the lynx is such a beauty, but the shark one in the first place is awesome as well. So what do you collect them for, if not to sell them someday?
These ones aren't worth much, so probably won't be selling them at all. Collecting just for the fun of it, the art work.
I do remember those Canadian stamps from way back when! US stamps are the same way... you have to get back to about 1930, actually, before you find any that have much value. There are a few exceptions, but not very many.
Very true. No surprises really, no intrinsic value to stamps, unlike precious coins. Thanks for dropping by.
That killer whale stamp is nice, I like the way they illustrated it. Stamps are hard to amass a valuable collection because just so many are made. I never lasted long as a stamp collector, there where just too many different kinds where coins had more finite options.
I love the Sunshine silver bar, they produce some nice silver. Very cool design!
Agreed, I'm an appreciator of the stamp "art" in particular. Nice Killer whale stamp, but It's only worth 57 cents lol. Thanks for commenting.
It is so nice that you still keep those old stamps in great condition.
The silver bar looks very beautiful. !PIZZA !hiqvotes
It's fun to look at them from time to time, and show them. Thanks for stopping by.
These stamps are very interesting, my friend! I love your photo series with this theme!
