Hello My Stacking Friends!
It is almost Christmas time. On the Hive blockchain this means two things:
- It is Secret Santa Season!
- It is the 12 days of Christmas silver wishlist season!
@welshstacker has sent out names for the silver gold stackers “Secret Santa” holiday gift exchange. @silverd510 has encouraged folks to share their wishlist online. I am not the type to mess about or to drag things out. Whomever is shopping for me might like some shopping suggestions. So here is my twelve days wishlist.

ONE: Scottsdale Mint Silver Snowflake
I LOVE Christmas. I love snowflakes, the Christmas aesthetic at my house is always blue and snowflakes vs the red and green traditional Christmas. This round is stunning. Priced in the high $30’s to low $40’s USD.
TWO: Kookaburried
The Kookaburried silver round is my FAVORITE from the Zombucks 2.0 series. Each round is this collection features a world bullion coin gone post zombie apocalypse. This one tickles my fancy in particular because it is based off a the famous Kookaburra coin series from the Perth Mint. I used to live in Australia. I am married to and Australian, and the Perth Mint puts out my favorite coins. So this satire coin is very appealing.
THREE: Underwater World - Spotted Seal
I love this coin more than any other. It is my most desired coin, and despite its HIGH price I will eventually own this coin. This is the 3oz Barbados Spotted Seal from the Underwater World coin series. 5th in the series, this coin has a limited mintage of only 999 pieces. It comes in a special box with a certificate of authenticity. The sealhas been on my wishlist EVERY year. It is so detailed on both sides. I adore the face on this seal. Every year the price goes up. Current eBay listings range from $340 - $480 USD.
FOUR: UFO’s Over…. By Intaglio Mint
For just over $38 USD each, Intaglio Mint is selling this 25 round series. Each silver round has an image of UFO’s over famous world landmarks. I already own the Vegas and Sydney rounds, but would be especially stoked to add, Paris, Rome, London or San Francisco to my collection. I love to travel and I love silver, so this series is very me.
FIVE: Coastal Christmas
This delightful holiday round has been on my eBay watchlist for AT LEAST a year. Not only does my Christmas aesthetic lean blue snowflake, it also leans coastal. Since 2020 we have decorated one of our Christmas trees entirely in seaside decorations. This 1oz silver round would be the perfect addition to the party.
SIX: Nuie Mickey and Minnie Christmas Round
This limited edition APMEX exclusive sells for around $36 USD. It is .999 fine and only 15,000 units have been minted. I love Christmas and Disney, so this round would be great to find in my Christmas stocking.
Halfway There! AKA - Is this list done YET?
SEVEN: Marquee Peacock from the Scottsdale Mint
This fun bar is so detailed and is giving me turn of the century (late 1800’s / early 1900’s) Art Nouveau vibes. I like that the bar is feminine, pretty and kind of delicate in its design. And…. Only $37 USD!
EIGHT: Aztec Eagle Warrior
This is another intricately designed round. On one side you have an Aztec Eagle Warrior. The other side features an Aztec sun stone. I like that the round has a bit of cultural significance, and at less than $40 USD it is another good Christmas option.
NINE: EC8 Grenada La Diablesse
I love a coin series and have been collecting each year’s releases in the Scottsdale Mint’s Eastern Caribbean Eight. The problem is, I have not opened my coin collection for awhile. So I forget what I already own and am uncertain about pieces I am missing from different series. I do know I am missing this beauty. She is giving off day of the dead vibes, which is always cool. And I appreciate seeing a fun lady coin.
TEN: 2023 Australia $1 1 oz Silver 50th Anniv. of Sydney Opera House
This 2023 coin is selling on APMEX for just under $40. Again I am drawn to the coin because of my connection to Australia. The Sydney Opera House sits in one of the most picturesque urban waterfronts I have ever seen. Getting this coin would be a fun reminder of days spent enjoying opera house views from Sydney Harbour.

OMG!!!! Just spotted this 1oz colorized bar on APMEX. AND IT IS A WEINER DOG!!!! In case you are new here and did not know, I have TWO dachshunds, and one looks suspiciously like this fellow. I must get this bar! 😂😂
TWELVE: 2023 Mont Saint-Michel Abbey 500th Anniversary 2 oz Silver Coin
Last but definitely not least, is this 2oz beauty from Niue. Colorized and with a $5 “face” value, this beauty has a $290 asking price on eBay. It comes in a fancy box with a COA and celebrates both the 500th anniversary since completing Mont Saint Michel Abbey in France and the 1000th anniversary since laying the abbey’s first stone. It have ALWAYS wanted to visit Mont St Michel. Hopeful to one day visit and own the coin!

Yeah the back is soooo detailed. And at 3oz! It must be huge. I love the seal’s face. Every year the coin’s price just goes up and up and up!

I've never been into coins because I could never work out which ones are legit and worth anything, or hold value in the long run, there seems to be a lot of them around. The UFO ones are interesting, and it's a great way to encourage people to buy them and slowly collect a full set.
Yeah, coins are funny. I am not into circulating coins like the ones (old or new) folks actually use to buy things. I just like the pure silver ones. And then pick images I enjoy.
Like what if you found a coin with a rubber duck image on it? You might have to add that to your rubber duck collection! 😄
