It's such a shame that they stopped producing coins in silver, but that's what the powers that be do.
The Peace dollar brings back memories when I was a child; I had an aunt and uncle, who were childless. When me and my brother would be at their house, they always spoiled us, and one way they did that was by putting silver dollars, half dollars and other change in the davenport, as they called it. Of course, we would go looking for it and amassed a bit of a pile of silver coins. Unfortunately, I recall that my parents took the money we were saving-times were lean back then for my family, and we never saw the coins again. I can just now imagine what must have been in the piggy!
A nicely done commemorative sis! Thanks for sharing!
Can you imagine!
Thank for the story!
You can still save a piggy full of silver dollars for your grandchild-- should one the coming!
Hugs and Kisses sis 🥰🌺🤙!!
If only! I think I'm never going to have a grandchild. One set I suspect won't have any at all, and the other is waiting for 'the right time'. I learned years ago, there is not necessarily a 'right time' and if you wait for that, snap! You're too old to have them! I'm going to have to start dropping some serious hints I guess!
I think if you are married you should not stop the natural effects of married bliss!
Agreed!
