The Curcao did have sails should they be needed but by trial and plenty of error progress did make the ship of sail obsolete as far as commerce and trade dictated. My alternative coin, The Frontenac Canadian silver dollar is similar but the first to use a propeller. The Curcao won on a coin flip. Welcome to the age Steam powered ships. @silverd510
