I recall from my father's collection an outstanding 1916 half crown, marvelous condition almost uncirculated. I don't recall where I hid it at the moment.

Its nice to having that feeling of finding a random piece of silver when you least expect it. They tu4n up in the most random places!! I keep finding random 1oz coins everywhere after the kids play with them.

The story is the coin(s) originaly belonged to my Great grandfather would worked at a Diner located adjacent to the train stop of a small prairie town back in the 1950s. The coin was spent by home bound soldiers enjoying a meal while the train dropped off cargo and took on fuel and water.
