The concept of the Goldbacks is fascinating. I had never heard of these artistic invoices with micro-deposits of pure gold. I was really struck by the design you mention, full of historical and symbolic elements. The story of Juan Ponce de Leon and his search for the fountain of youth has always been intriguing, even if it is more myth than reality. Although currently very fashionable, Resveratrol is supposedly the new fountain of youth.
As always learning something new, the detail about the Florida Cracker Horse and its historical significance is something I did not know.
I didn't realize about the horse either until I looked it up today, there are always all sorts of interesting things we can learn every day! I had forgotten how Ponce de Leon had died too, not a pretty way to go that's for sure.
Resveratrol has been pushed for years, and likely is of benefit. It would be nice if there were a true fountain of youth though!
