RE: For Our American Friends

It's been pretty gripping, ngl. I'd like to see Trump win, and I think he will.
Kamala has endorsements from some big names in entertainment, but they're not offering to do anything.
Trump has Elon, RFK Jr and Ron Paul all pitching in; so anyone who really likes any of them, is going to want to see them in positions of influence. Elon in particular will be pivotal. Some on the right are nervous about things like Neuralink, but not enough to vote for Harris.
On the Left though, I can see some environmentalists blaming Biden for blowing up the Nord Stream pipeline, and supporting Elon for the electric cars.

Javier Milei's political and subsequent economic success in Argentina, and Nayib Bukele's transformational leadership in El Salvador will no doubt inspire many to prioritise freedom over equality/equity. Of course Trump might just be talking the talk, but there's precedent now.

Hard to know from a distance and no doubt in my own filter bubble, but it's been fun to watch and speculate.

I will be watching it closely. I do like some of the people who have lined up with Trump (add Tulsi Gabbard - an important anti-war voice), I'm just not convinced that these people will have as much influence AFTER the election if Trump wins.
