I picked up this 1oz silver coin a few weeks back, featuring a Caribbean Reef Octopus for Grenada - from Scottsdale Mint.
Grenada Octopus Silver Coin
Another fine silver coin from Scottsdale Arizona, this one for Grenada, an island in the Eastern Caribbean sea. A mint coin with the shrink wrap.
Caribbean Reef Octopus
This 1oz coin celebrates the octopus, one of the most intelligent and cunning invertebrates. Their problem solving and shape shifting can enable them to escape captivity, they have specialized cells that can change color to match their surroundings for camouflage purposes, and they can even change the texture of their skin to more effectively blend in (Source).
The Octopus Side of the coin depicts the reef octopus moving along the ocean floor. The submarine volcano named "Kick 'Em Jenny", and it's thermal vent bubbles are in the background. Along the top curve of the coin is the text "GRENADA", with "2020" just below it. Along the bottom curve of the coin is the text "CARIBBEAN REEF OCTOPUS".
Queen Side
The Queen Side has Queen Elizabeth II, looking to the right, flanked by two branches. The top curve has the text "EASTERN CARIBBEAN CENTRAL BANK", the lower curve of the coin has the text "1OZ .999 SILVER QUEEN ELIZABETH II TWO DOLLARS".
Another fine silver coin for the seaworthy stack, the Grenada Caribbean Reef Octopus. A bit of a premium on them where I currently get the Scottsdale Mint coins, but I've been enjoying their quality and themes.
I think I will get me some Granada coins! I only collect the Flamingo coin from the E8 region. Grenada has some interesting selections! Thanks for sharing!
You're welcome, I'll look out for Flamingo coins - I'm headed to the city in a few weeks and hope to see coin varieties new to me :)
Are not Scottsdale products just gorgeous? I hope you manage to get a few of those stacker rounds too.
They are :) none of the stacker coins, but I'll watch out for them.
More beauties from Scottsdale. Always nice stuff
I've been happy with their sharp coins, great style to them.
Beautiful coin the bubbles are a nice touch
I agree, I liked that about the turtle coin too, it seems to bring the scene to life a little :)
I defintely agree, it really adds a great touch to the coin for sure.
Scottsdale mint makes some awesome stuff. That is a really cool coin!
!CTP
They scored with the Caribbean themed coins, and their other ones have that design edge to them too.

Octopus silver coin is beautiful. Its the first time I've seem a sea creature with great design !
The underwater volcanic vents background are a nice touch too :)
I am going to have to check out this mint for sure. They seem to have some very nice pieces.
It's still a trip to me that it's a private mint out of Scottsdale Arizona, minting Caribbean commonwealth coins. They earned it though with their fine pieces :)
This 🐙 looks a bit retarded 😂
Lol, the coin one looks like a ghost under a sheet to me at some angles :)
I see the Queen was still trying to keep us confused, with the "Two Dollars" Face Value on a One Ounce Silver Coin...
For me it's a reminder as to how much purchasing power the fiat dollars have lost... A long time ago it only cost two British? dollars, now it would take a lot more than two.
I figure the Fiat USD's have lost "more" than 99% of their Spending Power... This tells me a 100 to 1 Exchange Rate will be pretty Sweet...
