I prefer the beach to the open sea, and I get sea sick easily so it wouldn't have worked for me! Cramped living quarters, especially on a sub. I guess having toured retired versions of both when I was younger made it unappealing! The romanticized version I can understand, Moby Dick selling some beach front property in Arizona!
