Sales proceeds into precious metals
As I mentioned before, I've been selling off some of our unneeded stuff in the past 1,5 month or so. Not long after I started doing that, I added some new business venture to that which turned out succesful. As filling a webshop can be time consuming, so far I've only done sales on two platforms as it's just easier when dealing with shipping, all goes automatically and I don't have to manually sort how much shipping fees would be etc.
Silver buys
One of the platforms has silver offered there as well and my experiences have been good so far. There's also a buyers protection in case something is not alright, which is great. I've been using my sales there (which are far less than the other platform due to the less international nature of the platform) to buy silver from my earned funds.
1/2 OZ round
I never bought a 1/2 OZ silver round so far, I was only gifted one but this time I didn't find anything quite nicely so I decided to go ahead and purchase the 2024 Dragon silver round you see in the header image. Sadly this buy was dropped off 8 days ago but not picked up by the courier. This was an issue I never had before. I figured it must be a remote location and therefore not on the daily route of pick ups.
I asked the seller and she said it's normally fast. She went to the drop off point for me to ask and they told her they come there every day to bring packages but never to pick anything up, they need a seperate order for it. She then contacted the courier and they came back to her the same day that they will pick it up soon, fingers crossed while I wait extra long for my silver purchase lol.
Second buy
I also did a second silver buy from another sale there this week, but the buyer is not responding to anything so I already tried to cancel the sale (which will be done automatically if he doesn't drop it off on Monday the latest) so I think I will have to find a new silver round instead next week. What a shame but this can happen. I will first see if this one will be shipped before I go hunting for something else.

Sorry can't help you with that as I'm not in the UK and this is not paid with crypto either.. Honestly, I wouldn't know where I could pay with crypto here in Spain either..

I think your mail issues over there are indeed much worse, I bet they haven't even caught up on the backlog?
Over here the issues are incidents with certain carriers, but funnily enough the Correos national post is always on time lately, which is odd, but nice.
I'm currently caught up in admin stuff for the tax quarter but once I got that out in the next days I will take some pictures of the coins I still have waiting to be shared.
Haven't done much photography in the past month to be honest. Mainly with our trip to Nerja and then very little.
Have to get to the lab now so off I go!

That must have been quite an unusual and frustrating experience for you, @thisismylife! Looks like you’re really excited about the 2024 Dragon silver round—sounds like a great piece to add to your collection.
It’s definitely strange that the courier didn't pick up the package as expected, especially when this hasn't happened before. If it's a remote location, that can sometimes require a special order for pickups, which seems to have been the case here. It's good to hear that the seller was proactive and contacted the courier for you.
Let's hope that the courier comes through soon and you finally get your hands on your silver. Waiting can be tough, but I'm sure it will be worth it when your new piece arrives! 😊
