The Art of Palmistry

I have always been enraptured by the occult! 🤤 Tarot cards, Ouija boards... but my bread and butter is palmistry ✋ Hands are fascinating, they are unique in the sense that every individual fingerprint is never the same, and after learning that there is legitimacy to the study, I became even more intrigued!

Hands are the blueprints of our lives, the roadmap of our past, present, and future.

"The recessive hand shows the qualities given at birth, while the dominant hand shows what has become of them."

Put simply, the hand that one does not "use" (example: to write), is the hand that reveals what the person was born with. The hand that is used for everything, is the one that shows how the person's potential has been used thus far.

It is the same misconception with the 3 major hand lines, particularly the Life Line. There is the belief that the Life Line will determine how long a person will live, and this simply isn't true. In fact, palmistry has never claimed such, but was more than likely created by cons.

The index finger is ruled by Jupiter. Jupiter escaped the heinous wrath of his father, Saturn. He avoided being devoured and went on to rescue his brothers and sisters.

The middle finger is ruled by Saturn. Saturn was born with the brutal task of usurping his father, Uranus, and when the day finally comes, Saturn "banishes him to the farthest reaches of space."

The ring finger is ruled by Apollo. Apollo is known as the god of the Sun and is described as "all the gods in one being." He is considered the patron of art and music.
As such, some of the keywords associated with this archetype are: creative, optimistic, extroverted, lucky, slothful, adaptable, risk-taker, and fickle.

The little finger is ruled by Mercury. Mercury is considered the god of communication and travel, as well as medicine. "He is both a trickster and a healer." On the day he was born, Mercury was already causing mischief by stealing Apollo's cattle!

The thumb is ruled by Mars. Mars is the god of war, but more than that, he is an embodiment of the primal life force, of new beginnings. He was born from pure magic.

I love palmistry; I love being able to know about a person before I have even met them! I understand that there is truth to this art, it is something that has been practiced for over 2,000 years. Our ancestors saw the fountain of knowledge that is locked away within our hands and passed it down continuously, until it has reached us where we are today.

I would love to be able to do something with this talent! 🙏 I attempted to do palm readings a few years back, but it never really took off... Perhaps it is a secret gift that I can just keep to myself 🤭
