SPIDERS, RAINDROPS & JUST ONE BUTTERFLY

I was exploring some old folders a couple of hours ago, in search of material for a short and simple post because I don't have much time for long, complex stuff today. I found plenty of plants and insects, but at first, I didn't know what to do with them. Didn't know how to organize them or what the post should be about. And then, after ten minutes of intense but uninspired staring at the PC screen ...

... an idea came to my mind. Not a very good idea - but still better than nothing. The idea was: Let's put a bunch of unrelated old shots from 2009 together and tie them with a long descriptive title that sounds kinda cool.
In this opening photograph, you can see a spider that I wasn't able to identify. It was photographed long ago and I have only this one shot in which the abdominal markings aren't entirely visible.

Here you can see another unidentified species. I mean, I wasn't able to identify this minuscule spider found in the leaf litter.

In this photograph, you can see a bigger spider that has also found a home under the fallen leaves. Can't tell you the name of the species.

(Enlargeable)

Here I can finally tell you the name of the species. This is the orb-weaver Agalenatea redii. In this photograph, the spider is feeding on some insect caught in the web.

When I took this photograph, beck then in 2009, I wasn't aware of the minuscule creature trapped inside one of the droplets in the central - lower part of the picture.

(Enlargeable)

In these cropped pictures you can take a slightly better look at the situation. The creature inside looks like a springtail. Or some kind of larva.

Here you can see the only butterfly in the post. Iphiclides podalirius. Commonly known as the Scarce Swallowtail.

AND THAT'S IT. AS ALWAYS IN THESE POSTS ON HIVE, THE PHOTOGRAPHS ARE MY WORK - THE END.

Excellent work, the level of detail in each photo is amazing ........ and the drop of water with something inside is super great.
I am fascinated with your work and creativity, congratulations, congratulations and congratulations!

Thank you 🙂

I really like the first photograph of the spider and the one from the rain drops. And then to find a minuscule creature in it. Wow… so lucky 😎They are so beautiful, the creatures and the photographs @borjan.

Nice collection of photos! They look nostalgic I somehow of good old days when people were more care free and life was gentler and slower.

I love pictures of spiders, I'm not afraid of them and I don't have a phobia about them, but what's more interesting if you tried to look inside those splashes of water.
Cheers bro!

Cheers 🙂

Incredibly, I'm interested in spider photography.

Quite a lot of detail is rendered, beautifully.

What's the difference between a well-dressed man and a tired dog?
The man wears an entire suit, the dog just pants.
