Here we go again, right on schedule with the renewed talk about sensible gun control, whatever that means. It happens every couple of years and the usual people try to make some shooting about themselves rather than what the actual issue is and any stories that go contrary to the leftist "guns are bad, mmmmkay?" narrative are just swept under the rug.

This only happened a little while ago in West Virginia but saw almost no media exposure at all. The story goes like this: The was a graduation party in a neighborhood and a man with an extensive criminal record was driving up and down the street, almost seemingly to intentionally agitate the people at the party. He was driving very fast and some of the guests asked him to slow down because there were children playing in the area.

Dennis Butler didn't take very well to being asked to do something so he left, went and got a rifle and then returned to the party and started arbitrarily shooting at the attendees without any apparent target. One woman, who as far as I can tell hasn't been identified, had her own legal firearm with her and returned fire, striking and killing Butler.
This happened just a day after the school shooting in Texas and this is why it wasn't featured in the news. As was mentioned by many people in Tweets, this story wasn't covered by ANY of the major left-leaning networks or media outlets including New York Times, CNN, MSNBC, or the Washington Post. I think it should be very clear as to why this is the case: These outlets do not care about informing the public about anything that doesn't support their political aspirations.
I don't know what is so difficult for people to understand about laws and guns. If you make more laws about gun ownership only the criminals are going to have guns because I don't know if you are aware of this: Criminals don't generally overly concern them with what the laws happen to be.
Dennis Butler has a criminal record going back more than a decade and is a convicted felon. He is not legally allowed to obtain a firearm but that didn't really stop him from getting one now did it? If more laws are put into place to prevent legal gun ownership the old adage kicks in: "When guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns."
I think another reason why this was kept out of the news is because West Virginia is a deeply red state and there is no political advantage to the establishment for making this story blow up. If the media was honest, and they clearly aren't, they would highlight this story as well so that people could at least be capable of seeing the full story from both sides of the spectrum.
In fact, there are "good guy with a gun" stories that happen all the time but unless you subscribe to some sort of pro 2nd amendment news feed you are almost certainly never going to hear about it. The gun situation in the United States is a difficult one and I think that the now Democrat controlled Congress will probably make a final push to put more legislation in place before they get ousted in November. It will all just be for political theater though because once they are ousted in November, it will immediately get reversed.
Then we also have the individual states that can override the Federal government in many situations and this is true even now in relation to a lot of thing, including gun ownership. This will just cause a further divide between the blue and the red states and in my mind this is inevitable at this point. I honestly wouldn't mind seeing the US divided into two separate countries. I believe this is an eventuality.
This exact same thing happened here in the Oregon area where a concealed carry individual had only presented his pistol at the shooter and visual threat got the shooter to commit suicide before being shot...
Personally I think we need to arm the teachers and any teacher that cannot qualify with a handgun and isn't ready to defend themselves or their charges... I'm sorry they don't need to be around our children.
We need to pay our teachers more we need to protect the students more.
Ironically the bureaucratic functions of administration of the schools are out of control and sucking massive amounts of funding out of the students. Not only this we need to also address all the ramp and fraud these bureaucratics are committing.
Because we have given schools so much already. We should be able to build a school that has escape hatches. And local law enforcement should be able to enter lockdown rooms.
As well all of the officers that refuse to take action in an active shooter situation need to be held accountable.
We absolutely don't have a gun problem we don't need gun control what we need is for the public to be armed and able to protect themselves instead of massive amount of knee jerk gun control bills that are coming out currently as well as the persecution of law-abiding citizens who are defending themselves.
Change needs to happen and the next election cycles I can only imagine how many changes will be coming.
Hang on we're going to have some amazing events. I expect the United States is going to have quite a bit of gun law and gun control pushback.
The repeal of national firearms act and disbandment of the bureau alcohol firearms and tobacco?
Let alone I have feeling the federal bureau of investigation is going to have some huge changes over the collusion and persecution within its ranks.
Anyway I'd like to say excellent post thank you very much and I'm definitely going to share this!
I am quite excited to see what happens in the next cycles as well. I think that the left went waaaaay too far with their actions since Trump was elected and the people have noticed a whole lot of crazy coming out of the woodwork. I'm conservative so maybe I am disconnected from the overall mindset but I really can't see how anyone can look at today's politics and think "yeah, this is great!"
I'd love to see everyone voted out and replaced, regardless of the letter next to their name.
We need change in what we really need to do is identify the dead weight and corruption in our government and jail them.
Even the people that are left are being repulsed by the radicalization. Which ironically is pushing them to vote for the best candidate which these days the only ones that are focus on solving our crisis would be on the right.
From normalizing minors in the lgbtq Community? To enabling the massive crime wave. To the massive drug addiction health crisis? And even more issues over and over.
How about Nancy pelosi writing a scam fill that says we're going to help Ukraine only at a huge payoff to her and the massive amount of companies that she holds stock in. 40 billion dollars in munitions happens I am sure of it. That's the only way Nancy pelosi would get involved. That and to try to get some respect and honor from that entire charade.
In my country people are defenseless against the will of the goverment, because they aren't allow to own guns legally. In spite of that, violence levels aren't as low as we expect from a country in wich only the goverment got acces to firearms, also public records of criminal behaviour aren't available for independent auditing, and the proportion of jailed people is one of the biggest on the area. That's the future you may expect if guns are taked from the people, I hope such a great nation will never have to suffer something like that!
I feel the same way. I do not want to put my safety in the hands of someone else, including and especially the government. When seconds count, the police will be there in minutes!
People that support simplistic solutions fail to consider the unintended consequences of those policies. Gun free zones are in many cases where the worst mass shootings take place and why wouldn't they be? Only the criminals have guns. Banning guns or drugs for that matter haven't stopped crime or drugs.
In Canada we have the village idiot Justin Trudeau set to crack down on target shooters by banning handguns for those that follow the rules, get a permit and safety training and have a license. The sad part is that the gang shooting problem that continues to get worse will not be affected in any way by this policy.
If they really wanted to stop gang shootings they could do this overnight by providing a legal supply for the sale of now illegal drugs. They already legalized cannabis and the sky didn't fall. And the rampant problem of rental houses being used for grow ops has disappeared because, there's no incentive for anyone to do it any longer. Those ruling us are so void of any common sense they can't piece this together that the shootings are being caused by gangs fighting over the drug trade, the problem isn't target shooters that follow the rules.
The reality is that JT and his WEF handlers aren't trying to reduce crime or shootings. They just want the public as docile and helpless as possible for the next time they bring in mercenaries and trample old women with horses for having the gall to say no to injections of unsafe vaccines just to be able to work.
I don't look a great deal at what is going on in Canada, no offense of course, but the stories that I do see seem pretty frightening to me. When is Trudeau up for re-election and do people actually want that guy to stay in power? Do you have a situation similar to ours here in USA where the people in big cities have a very different mindset than the rest of the populace?
No offense taken as this is a world wide issue. Some countries have more rights than others, some are required to perform military service and own firearms. This is a culture issue to a degree which is ignored by prohibition proponents because there are countries with high firearms ownership and low gun crime that are often ignored.
It is scary here in the last few years in Canada as the veil has been lifted and the pubic has been show that this isn't much of a democracy. The government that has taken power with a minority of actual votes is able to suspend our constitutional rights and impose dictates/mandates without any real process through parliament.
There is a massive disconnect between those that have some ability to think for themselves and recognize that something is deeply wrong as our rights are stripped away and those that lap up without question everything the government funded main stream media presents to them.
The sick part about it is that the government is more concerned with virtue signaling and pretending they are doing something about gun violence to the msm crowd of ignorant supporters than actually doing anything that will reduce crime and violence but this is where we are at in Canada.
I recall an interview or a Q and A with Trudeau where he stopped someone mid question to correct them because they said "mankind." Trudeau insisted the word to use there was "person-kind" or something weird like that. The crowd cheered when he said this too. Afterwards I think he just danced around the actual question and didn't answer it at all anyway.
Stupid to have guns in the first place
In an ideal world we wouldn't need them but unfortunately that is not the world we live in.
Unfortunally the USA live in a weird ass world.
Look at the rest of us, we don't carry guns daily
That very well may be true and in a lot of instances it could be better. I'm not saying the USA way is right for the rest of the world, but I believe it is right for here. I'd rather have a gun and not need it than need a gun and not have it.
I am 30 and I have never needed a gun in my life and I have done stupid shit and annoyed and shit ton of people in my teens/life and still never needed it, because we ain't retarded in Europe compares to the Usa xD
I am dude who have been blackout drunk and been climbing buildings in the city center and the police just told me to get down and give me a verbal warning haha xD
That's awesome. I wish there was a video of that.
