RE: Range Testing New Rounds for the Pew

in Outdoors and moreyesterday

Wow, that is quite the difference between the pistol and the rifle. I have always wanted a Ruger pistol like that. My buddy has a couple Mark III's and those are pretty cool. I have always wanted one of them. It's pretty crazy how many different kinds of .22 ammo there are. They have come a long way from the generic Remington can of rounds!

I've owned dozens of weapons, and this Ruger Mark IV is definitely in my top three favorites of all time. The Mark 3 models are also good for accuracy, but a major pain to field strip and clean. This one fields strips with a push of the button in the back and then quickly just snaps back in for re-assembly. Much better choice imho for those looking to purchase a new one.

That is cool. I might have to look into that one day. I guess there is a reason they have stood the test of time. Oddly enough, I would have pegged Ruger for a German company given their association with the Germans. I'm sure there is a good story there how they became so prevalent.
