Now, on the boots...Yep, these are the best boots I've had. Just make sure he's looking for heavyweight boots and not medium weight. If it's the latter then Merrells might be better. I hope he gets what he's looking for though.
Yup, heavyweights is what he needs,he actually has a pair of Merrells that he loves. There are a few items of clothing that he will never cheap out on, and footwear- including socks, of which his favorite is Darn Toughs- are at the top of the list :)
I like where his head's at, cheaping out on boots/socks is not going to end well, at least in my experience. Seems he's had similar experiences.
